5 Recovery

The ambulances arrive at the hospital 10 minutes after they drove up to the empty parking lot. Jaidyn is going in and out of consciousness, Trystan is rubbing his fiancee's hand until the doors open quickly. 2 nurses get the stretcher out of the ambulance, he gets out with some help by one female nurse when a searing pain in his right arm begins.

"Trystan, can you tell me how bad your pain right now?" She is standing right next to him, half of his body felt numb while the other half screamed in agony. The sharp, burning sensation was all they could focus on. Panic slowly took over as, for a moment, a way out of this pain began to seem more and more unrealistic. For a second they considered listening to their body which was telling them to stop, to just give up and drop to the floor. She sees that he's about to fall, she uses her pager to get a wheelchair.

Jaidyn is quickly and efficiently taken to a hospital room with a sliding glass door with a frame of white plaster on the outside. The nurses carefully get the injured 19-year-old on the clean hospital bed.

"Where are Trystan and his parents?" The voice is soft and almost too quiet. The main nurse smiles at him while she cuts off above the sleeve of the injured arm. A male detective comes into the room with a camera.

"Hello Jaidyn, this is Detective Henry Ace with the LAPD. He will ask you a few questions." Jaidyn just wants his damn fiancee in the room. He looks at the man with short blonde hair and green eyes in a black suit.

"I'm not answering anything of yours, Detective. All I damn want is my fiancee." His mother and father rush into the room. Audriana hugs her son to her chest while her husband, Bryson is comforting his wife. A woman enters the room in a black dress that reaches her mid-thigh, a black blazer, and a 4-inch black heel. She has a briefcase in her hand. Her red hair is wavy is in a half-up ponytail and her blue eyes scan the room. She puts down the briefcase on the chair near the door and helps Trystan up from the wheelchair then walks him to the other side of the bed so he could sit down next to Jaidyn.

"I'm Alyssa Green, I represent the Calabria and Luciano Families. Detective Ace, you need to leave now and if you need to ask questions, contact me but not them. And considering that they just went through something traumatic and they will need time to recuperate before they will answer your questions. Now leave so we can talk, Detective Ace." The man leaves shocked because Ms. Green just kicked it out of the hospital room. He walks out of the building shaking his head, with the camera in his hands, he walks to his car and calls the sergeant.

"The lawyer arrived so I was unable to get close to both of them and the parents of one of the victims wouldn't let me get close as well." His boss, Segreant Amelia Gray sighs. She puts her forehead in her palm and starts to speak.

"Call the attorney so we can know what happened." The detective is scared to tell his boss what Ms. Green told him. He takes a deep breath before explaining what was said to him. After he explained, the sergeant sighs, annoyed.

"Contact her in 2 days so we get to know what happened from the victims." He listens to hear what she said and ends the call. He puts the phone away in his pocket and unlocks his car before entering his car. He places his camera and the camera bag in the passenger seat, buckles up, and puts in the car key.

Audriana runs her hand through her son's hair before going out of the room to get some coffee for herself. Bryson puts his hand on Trystan's shoulder with his son in the hospital bed, sleeping from the morphine to help with the pain. Trystan's memory of the shooting a very hazy and is unable to remember much due to him going into shock.

Audriana comes back with 3 coffee's in both hands, the white paper cups have names written in black sharpie marker. She hands one to the young man, he takes it slowly and takes a small sip of the hot liquid. The blonde woman hands the second one to her dark-haired husband, he takes it with a smile. He takes a sip of the hot, black liquid, and she sees her son's amethyst eyes open after 30 minutes of sleep. Trystan touches his hand, the black-haired young man intertwines his pale-skinned hand with the brunettes.

"How are you feeling, Jai?" Alyssa sits on the other side of the black-haired male in the white-sheeted hospital bed. He shrugs a little without causing pain to himself, the lawyer notices it and rubs his injured arm gently.

"I talked to the doctor that is taking care of you two will let you out tonight but Trystan's parents are in surgery as we speak and they'll have to stay in here for another week to a week and a half. They had been hit in worse places and I will drive you back to your home to get clothes for 2 weeks, then drive you to the Calabria mansion." Trystan nods with the now warm drink in hand and Audriana smiles behind the cup.

"I'll go with you, Alyssa. I can help carry his bags since he is unable to do it because of his arm injury." Her son is leaning his duo-haired 19-year-old on the shoulder of the brunette in the chair beside his hospital bed, Audriana smiles at the small scene in front of her when a male doctor with messy blonde hair and apple green eyes. He has on a white doctor's coat, under that is a blue dress shirt with all the buttons buttoned with black slacks, and dress shoes. He smiles down while clipboard in his hand and flips through the papers of the medical record of the 19-years old.

"You two must be Trystan Luciano and Jaidyn Calabria, right?" They both nod at the doctor and he begins to read the papers in front of him and speaks. The blonde mother looks at the doctor as her husband and Alyssa walk out of the room to chat about something.

"We are going officially release you both now from the hospital right now, but you need to be very careful for the next few days." A nurse enters to remove the IV from this left wrist laying on the middle of the stomach and once they remove the needle from the hand, place a tan cloth bandaid on the needle mark.
