Two weeks have passed after the tragic incidents. We had already buried the dead, and James was back with us with the help of Caleb. He told the authorities that James was his spy inside the mafia, so they let him out.

Two long weeks, but Scott didn't return. Weeks turn into months. We heard nothing from Corpuz and his men as if they had vanished into thin air. 

All this time, I stayed inside my room because Brent didn't let me out because he knew once he let me go out, I'd hunt Corpuz.

I didn't have an appetite lately, and my brother always scolded me whenever he saw me crying. Every night, I cried to sleep, and I always dreamed of Scott smiling at me, but his smile brought tears to my eyes because it reminded me I couldn't see him smile again in front of me.
