4 Hero Saves The Angel

{Author's pov}

It was dark, the moon was shining and the hoots of an owl can be heard from a distance.

"Is the file ready?" Xavier asked in his cold, husky voice. His assistant, friend, and right hand Adam Brooke responded yes and nodded.

It has been two days since Xavier met Gianna, he couldn't stop thinking about her, the way she smiles, the way she turns around making her floral dress and her hair swirl like beautiful waves of the sea, and her angelic bright smile which can melt thousands of hearts. Xavier decided to know a few things about her, so he asked Adam if he could send some men to keep an eye on what she does daily and how she interacts with people around her.

As Xavier read her file, he came to know she doesn't live alone, she lives with her small sister Amelia Allen, nicknamed as Ami, goes to the same school as Derek! Gianna goes for a morning walk with her dog sometimes, manages to do all household chores, and opens her coffee shop around 8.30 in the morning.

Gianna loves singing, her favorite color is black, she always wears floral dresses as she admires flowers, she is quite tall in comparison with her little sister, and she likes to play with her Golden retriever breed dog, Charlie.

Gianna lost her eyesight at the age of 9 in a car accident, her parents died on the spot, Amelia was just slightly bruised, the case of the car accident was closed in just two days and never opened again.

Xavier rubbed his chin after reading the file.

"Why was the case closed without deep investigations?" Adam thought for a while then responded with a shrug, "We couldn't gather much information, it seemed like someone was deliberately not allowing us to investigate more about this." Adam said and sighed.

"Hmm, well alright, also thanks for this," Xavier said as he raised the file. Adam widened his eyes for a second, but then chuckled, "You are weird sometimes."

~In the Coffee Shop~

Gianna was cleaning the floor with a mop when she heard the bell jingle, signaling her arrival of people. She immediately smiled and welcomed,

"Hello! I am Gianna, how may I help you?" Gianna said and smiled warmly.

"We know you are, Gianna. Every time you say the same old thing like a tape recorder." The rude boy said making his group of friends laughs at his joke, instantly the smile from Gianna's face washed away. She thought, 'Here are the Oscar-winning bullies.'

They took their seats and called Gianna.

"What are you guys doing here? I-I will call the cops if you mess around again in my shop!" Gianna scolded them in a stern voice. They began laughing loudly, as if Gianna fired a joke bomb on them.

"W-what?" Gianna asked them in confusion.

"Okay… we will behave this time, but on one condition," Gianna cocked her head in confusion, "Bring us our usual and don't disturb us, will that do for you?" Gianna just nodded and went off to the kitchen to bring their orders. When she brought their drinks and snacks, she smelled something weird, like bad weird, she looked around sensing presence around her. Soon enough, she realized! Drugs! She tried to walk away from them, but a boy got hold of her wrist.

"L-let go!" She said in a somewhat loud voice. But the boy just clicked his tongue and came near her ear, "Now that the cat is out of the bag, why don't you join us to have some catnip?" He whispered in her ear, that too dangerously close!

"Why… why are you guys consuming this stuff in my coffee shop? Go to some...club or… deserted area... don't include me in these, please!" Gianna tried to sweet talk and kick them out of the shop in vain. They pulled her to sit with them and held her arms. Charlie was barking at them continuously and tried to bite one boy's leg, but that boy kicked Charlie, and he fell and whined in pain.

"Charlie--!!" Gianna tried to stand up, but another boy again pulled her down to sit.

"You wanna know why we chose your shop? Because not many customers come here during this time, and you're blind, so no evidence for our crime! Clubs and deserted areas are under watch by cops frequently, so your shop is the best place." The boy, who was silent since he came, answered her question.

Gianna gasped in shock and tried to wriggle her arms from being held. She thought for a second and an idea popped in her mind when someone passes by the shop, she will scream instantly, but the problem was, how will she come to know that someone is passing by her shop? Never mind, she has to try if she wants to kick these thugs out.

The boys were busy talking shit when she heard a car park just in front of her shop. Se thought that this was a good chance, and she screamed loud enough to make every person around the shop stop in their tracks.

"HELP!!! PLEASE HELP ME!! THESE GUYS ARE--" Gianna was stopped by a sharp slap on her face, she was pushed which made her fall on her butt and she bumped her head on the table. Tears burst out from her eyes as she whimpered in pain, not able to see anything makes the situation even worse for her.

"Shit, this b*tch just had to mess our plans!" One boy exclaimed. But then the door of the coffee shop was slammed open, breaking its glass spread on the floor. There stood Xavier Moretti with a huge frown and clenched teeth. He growled in annoyance and punched every boy's life out of their bodies. Soon Adam rushed in with some men in black suits, and they handled those boys, Xavier went near Gianna, she was still sitting on the floor sobbing with blood oozing out of her right side of the forehead.

Xavier picked Gianna up in a bridal position and placed her on a coffee table. It was surprising for Xavier, as she was as light as a feather! Xavier gave her a glass of water, and she chugged the whole glass down immediately.

"Where is the first aid kit?" Xavier asked her, and she told him where it was.

When Xavier returned with a first aid kit, he saw her hugging Charlie and sobbing quietly.

Charlie seemed alright, just a small bruise was visible due to that kick he got.

"Come here, I need to clean your wound," Xavier said and Gianna nodded softly. Xavier started cleaning her wound and she winced in pain, "Sorry, does it hurt? I will try not to be rough." Xavier said, and she responded with yes.

Xavier tied a bandage around her head, she touched the bandage and said, "You are good at this, are you a doctor?" Xavier just stood there rooted on his spot, not willing to answer her question.

"Oh, I am sorry," Gianna said as she realized, she was not in a position to ask any personal question from a stranger.

Xavier sighed and whispered in his husky voice, "No, I am not a doctor, just used to treating wounds and injuries."

"Ohh… wait... I recognize your voice, you came that day with your girlfriend Brinley right!" Gianna smiled brightly. Adam was standing just by the door watching the movie with imaginary popcorn, but when Gianna said Brinley was Xavier's girlfriend he choked on his saliva not believing what the woman just said! Adam got scared, Xavier might shout at her or scold her but to his shock, he just chuckled.

"Brinley is my little sister, she's not my girlfriend. I don't have any girlfriend, I'm single." Xavier said, to which Adam started coughing loudly. Too much info, bro! Too much! Xavier turned to glare at him.

"Oh, who's this?" Gianna asked about Adam.

"I am his friend."

"He's my assistant."

Adam and Xavier said at the same time, making Gianna giggle.

Adam and Xavier looked at each other and then back at Gianna, she was rubbing Charlie's hairy head and giggling.
