20 Chapter Twenty

Maddox's Pov:

I've waited until she was ready. It angered me and my wolf that she didn't look at all healthy, she did not look like my Carson. She was my everything, finally having her back is a relief but I just want her in my arms. As I watched her from afar never leaving the room, I sent in the pack doctor and my maids, they would tell me her progress. Always saying the same thing. She's frightened, completely scared and confused and don't don't want to hear sounds. My body craved to be around her, I figured she needed space but I always fell asleep outside of the door, smelling her faint scent as it grew more and more.

Finally came the night she woke me up in the hallway, smashing her lips to mine. It shocked me, completely. I picked her up and took her to the room closing the door behind us. I just wanted to hold her, and that's what I did.

Its now been two months since the incident with Vincent. Carson is finally back to herself but she refuses to talk about it. She's back to her weight before she left, almost eating everything on sight. Today, our pack members have decided to throw her a party where I would propose to her. Hopefully, she says yes. Her family and I get along great, and I can't wait to spend more happier moments with her.

I stood in a plaid flannel, with dark jeans and my combat boots. My hair styled perfectly as I looked in the mirror. My breath hitched when I noticed Carson standing behind me in a slim but curvy dress, that fit her perfectly. Her blonde curly hair was now naturally beautiful again  as it cascaded down her shoulders. I turned around feeling her arms wrap around my neck. I planted a small kiss on her forehead while she blushed underneath me.

"Your beautiful, my love." Her blush got deeper as I planted more kisses down her cheek toward her collarbone.

"Come on, let's go party." She whispered almost giggling. I missed the angelic giggle the escaped her lips everything about her was perfect.

As we made it downstairs, she was in awe of the scene. The ball room was filled with all of the pack members, dancing away to the music as the lights were off and the disco ball spun above us. A DJ stood of to the right playing music, then there were seats to the left of us where some people sat eating food from the chef would prepared food before.

I slowly walked her over to the DJ taking the microphone, everyone cheered and greeted us.

"Today is a special moment for us. Today is the day we celebrate the love for our loved ones. But also for this." I got down on one knee looking at a confused Carson. Everyone awed while I pulled out a small blue velvet box opening in front of her. She gasped at the three purple garret ring sitting in the box looking shiny.

"Carson, it been a wonderful and joy able journey with you. I wouldn't change anything in the world, I would stay by your side loving you and cherishing you. Will you marry me?" It was dead silent as a tear ran down Carson's cheek. Her eyes light up with lust and desire.

"Yes." My heart skipped a beat hearing her say yes. My wolf and I were to excited. I slid the ring on her finger as everyone cheered. As I stood, I crashed my lips to hers, gently and sweetly kissing her lips softly. I pulled away pulling her into my side kissing her forehead. Her smile could be seen a mile away. I could smell the arousal as well as she sipped on her punch. I took the cup away sitting it down on the table and took her hand leading her away from the party and into our room.

That night was the best night of my life. She said yes and then I made love to her. We would get married and have kids. It was the perfect happy ending. Everything was perfect, like it should be.
