7 Chapter Seven

Carson's Pov:

After catching up with Demitri, I walked back to Maddox's room. When I opened the door, I gasped at the sight I saw. Everything was thrashed around the room and the walls had holes in them. There was a dark figure in the corner of the room. I slowly walked over being cautious, Maddox was crawled into a ball with tears down his cheeks. Kendra whimpered at the sight of him, and I kinda felt bad. I lowered myself toward the ground slowly reaching my hand out toward his arm. As my hand touch his arm, he jumped and scooted back.

"Maddox, please talk to me." My voice spoke with hurt and worry for him. I felt bad for rejecting him without letting him explain why he didn't want to reject me. Maddox's hair was a complete mess and there was bags underneath his eyes. I reached my hand over to his arm again and this time he didn't object. He scooted closer putting his head on my lap. I brushed his hair out of his face and kissed his forehead, not feeling the tingles. He was sniffling and hiccuping.

"Maddox, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that. But you didn't give Kendra much choice when you picked Victoria over us." After I said that he sat up abruptly looking directly at me.

"There is secrets you don't know that I can't explain until your the packs Luna. But my wolf and I need you. We want you and I can't wait for you. I don't want Victoria. I want my mate, you." His voice was soft but raspy. I nodded understanding where he was coming from.

"I'll give you a second chance, but do not blow it. No more secrets." He nodded his head quickly and kissed my forehead softly. I half smiled and stood up. He followed me toward the hallway.

"Can you finally show me the kitchen?" I asked looking in his deep eyes. He held his hand out and I grabbed it as we walked down the long hallway and into another door. Behind the door sat a big kitchen. It was spacious but decent. I sat at the counter table while he walked over toward a window that a chef stood waiting. He order something and walked over toward me sitting next to me.

"So, let's get to know each other." I nodded agreeing.

Maddox was twenty and took the alpha position when he turned eighteen. His parents, Lacey and Jack, lived in a house not far from here but they are traveling around the world at the moment. He has a brother, Jackson but he is living with his mate next to his parents house. Jackson and I were supposed to meet already but Jackson's mate is in labor. I was surprised Maddox would be an uncle. Maddox loves the color blue and spaghetti, which he ordered.

After we finished eating and getting to know some facts, he wanted to show me around the pack house. I agreed because I was ready to become their Luna. I wanted to be happy and live here comfortably.

Maddox showed me the living room, his office, the kitchen and the doctors office. After he showed me around I was to tired. After cleaning up and changing into shorts and a tank top, Maddox let me sleep in his bed.
