15 Chapter Fifteen

Carson's Pov:

After taking a nice long shower, I headed to Maddox's office wanting answers to the secrets he has been hiding. I entered seeing him in a white beater and in basketball shorts. His hair was still messy and reeked of sex. I stood before him waiting for him to speak.

"May I help you babe?" He looked up intently at me after shutting his computer.

"I want answers to the secrets you have been hiding from me. And I will not wait." I demanded in a serious tone, not backing down.

"Victoria betrayed me, helping your precious Demitri in kid napping you and giving you to Vincent Queens." His voice was filled with seriousness and anger. He felt betrayed, and I did as well.

"I want to see Demitri." I crossed my arms, standing tall and not backing down. He sighed and nodded understanding.

He led me down a set of dark stairs into the basement. In the basement was a long hallway that stretched a mile long filled with cells along the wall. We came up to the last one, and I felt my heart drop. Demitri lay in a ball with silver chains around his wrists and ankles. He looked beat up and starved. My heart ached to see him like this. Just as I stood there if knowing, Demitri looked up at me. His long black hair was matted and dirty, along with his beard.

"Help me, Car...please." His voice was raspy and low. His voice filled with fear and pain. A tear ran down my cheek seeing him in this state.

"Why, why would you give me to Vincent?" My voice pleading to him for answers. Maddox stood in the shadows watching.

"He would've killed Victoria. You Car, a royal wolf was all he wanted. Maddox would pay for taking away my mate, everything was a lie, Carson." I gasped at his words. I didn't want to believe him.

"A royal wolf, is a special breed unknown to the werewolf kind nowadays. Royals wolves have more capabilities then regular wolves. He wanted your blood to make an army, to mate you and make you obey. He wanted to kill the oh so mighty feared Alpha Maddox Williams. He wanted to destroy him, like he destroyed Vincent. I wanted the same, he took my mate. He wanted her to be Luna even when you showed up, he wanted you the same way Vincent wanted you." Tears ran down my cheeks, taking everything in. Kendra whimpered in pain, she was hurt from hearing this. "Your blood." Was all he said before I told the guard to kill him. I order the guard and watched him kill Demitri as Demitri screamed for me to make him stop. Maddox stood behind me putting his hand softly on my left shoulder. I turned around to face him, showing him I was not okay with him. Even though Maddox mated with me, he wouldn't let Vincent just take me, or hurt me. The mate bond wouldn't let let it happen.

I pushed Maddox away from me running full speed to my room ignoring the stares and calls from Maddox.

I couldn't take this pain, the betrayal from someone I deeply loved. Demitri was always there for me, he was brainwashed by the whore, Victoria. She would pay, I'll give her a slow death, a painful one.

Maddox would have to prove he wouldn't betray me and Kendra like that, only wanting us for my blood. I wouldn't dare use the mate bond to find out either. If he did I would reject him and run, maybe complying with Vincent.
