24 Chapter 23: Old Monkey!!!??

At a glance, there were various commodity shops and stalls on both sides of the street. Most people had smiles on their faces. It seems that it was a place with very simple folk customs.

It's hard to imagine that it was the hometown of a terrifying Great Pirate like Gol D. Roger, that scared the shit out of the World Government once in the past.

As he was enjoying his strolling in the marketplace, Luffy attracted a lot of curious glances from the crowd because of his lengthy gravity defying hair.

In the world of One Piece, this type of hairstyle was very rear.

Due to his signature bad boy smile along with his badass look he became a perfect lady killer wherever he went. Women looked at him with heart shaped eyes, but the funny thing was If looks could kill him he would have died thousands of times already due the hateful glare of their male companions.

For some reason he didn't get any Bounty yet for the incident in Shells Town. So he just treated the perverted ladies and jealous men like air and started walking towards the Execution Platform.

While on his way Luffy was thinking of that old bastard. He knew that, the bastard he was searching for was definitely in this island, so he was constantly searching for him.

Suddenly his lips curled upward, he changed his direction and entered into an alleyway. After walking out of the alleyway he finally reached a desolate place, where he finally met the person he was searching for.

The person was a tall middle aged man dressed in a green cloak and his face was also hidden inside the hood. Seeing Luffy's arrival, he removed his green cloak underneath which was a orange garb.

He had spikey black hair with a widow's peak and a red tattoo on the left side of his face.

You guessed that right, this man was the infamous Supreme Commander of the Revolutionary Army Monkey D. Dragon who had been attempting to overthrow the World Government.

" So 'Old Monkey', you have finally decided to pay me a visit. " said Luffy while glaring at his father. Although he acted like this, he knew very well that Dragon was a good person. So he had no grudge against him.

Due to the way Luffy addressed him, the smile on his face disappeared instantly and his lips started twitching.

" So what do you want? " asked Dragon after he calmed down.

Luffy sneered, " What i want...? I want to give you the Best Father of The Year award. " Hearing me his body flinched a little and his lips started twitching again.

" Why didn't you come to visit me even once during these past years? " asked Luffy with a stern voice. Dragon wore a somber expression and replied, " Because it's comp- " Luffy cut him off and continued, " Don't give me those crap about Revolutionary Army. "

Then all of a sudden Luffy coated his fist in Busoshoku haki and gave a heavy punch to his father's stomach. Due to the unexpected turn of event, Dragon couldn't react in time and could only strengthen his defence by haki.

Luffy's punch landed perfectly on his stomach and due to the heavy impact Dragon's body was launched like a cannon ball. He flew directly towards the wall and crashed with a thud.

But Dragon just walked out of the rubble like nothing happened. There was no trace of anger on his face, only an amused smile. He seized me from top to bottom for a while and then started laughing like a maniac.

" Old Monkey, stop laughing like a perverted old man. " Luffy shouted. He stopped laughing immediately and wore a displeased expression.

" Alright jokes aside, tell me about my mom. " Luffy asked the question that he was most interested in. There was a brief silence between the father and son duo.

Before he could say anything, Luffy reminded him, " Don't even think of making a story, tell me only truth. I want to know everything about my mother. "

Finally Dragon sighed, " Your birth mother is alive. She is not your typical normal woman and no one had known this secret originally. I didn't, and neither did your grandfather.

Not until the day, a group of people with unknown origins, claiming that they were from a agency called CP-0, suddenly appeared in the Foosha Village with the intention of taking your mother away."

" They said that your mother was of the noble bloodline of Celestial Dragons and shouldn't be sullied by the mundane world.

If it hadn't been your mother threatening them with her life, you and I might've been annihilated that day. " He continued his story and i could feel his deep sorrow. But still i had a doubt after listening half of his story.

He shook his head and stopped me.Then he continued like he knew about my doubts, " Luffy regardless of how strong the opponents were, would you not have fought to the death if someone was taking your woman away?" He stopped midway on his speech. After a while he continued again, " Yes, your father was going to fight to the death that day. But she stopped me and told me to stay alive for your sake.

Your grandfather was not with us at that moment, so i reluctantly agreed to her request. " Luffy didn't interrupt him and let him continue.

Then he laughed bitterly and said with a deep hatred, " That was my reason behind establishing the Revolutionary Army and i vowed to take revenge form the world government one day for what they have done with my family."

Luffy stopped his inner turmoil and asked, " Can you tell me her name and appearance? " Dragon raised his eyebrows by his question, but still nodded and said, " Her real name is Saint Margaret, but when i first met her she told me her name was Mary. This is her only picture i have. "

Dragon took out a picture and gave it to me. I was dumbfounded by my mother's appearance. She had wavy blond hair with emerald green eyes and overall she looked like a royal princess.

But seeing her beauty, i was confused. Why did such a fairly like woman had taken a liking to this old man.

Luffy handed the picture back to his father and asked in an amused tone, " Old Monkey, seems like your luck with beautiful woman was very good. "

Dragon said in a arrogant tone, " Of course, don't you know who i am? " Luffy grinned seeing his father's antics.

" Don't be full of yourself, consider yourself lucky that you could marry such a beautiful woman like my mother. " Luffy mocked his father. He just snorted in response to my mocking and didn't say anything.
