9 Chapter 09: Scoundrel

Syrup village, East Blue:-

They head back to the mansion and as there was nothing to important to do, Luffy started explaining Kaya about his future plans. They started chatting but in the middle of their conversation, Merry informed them that they had to wait atleast one week for the repairing process to complete.

But Luffy didn't want to waste any time in this bullshit island, so he told Kaya to prepare her departure. Luffy left the mansion and decided to let her prepare for the upcoming journey.

Luffy went to the sea to start increasing his Dragon Potency. He started hunting for two hours. Although he was hunting in a daily basis, his potency bar was not increasing like before as there were not many strong aquatic animals in East Blue.

So he had to wait until he reach the New World. The second problem was *Enuma - Elish*, no matter how hard he tried in these past year he was unable to unleash a perfect *Enuma Elish*.

After finishing his training, Luffy left the sea and started thinking about all of his current problems.

' Jasmine, can i buy a True Devil Fruit from the store for Kaya? '

[ No, host only you have the right to consume the True Devil Fruits, as it is against the law of this world. But you can buy a normal Devil Fruit for her by spending required 'sp' and also except Devil Fruits you can give everything else to outsiders. ]

Luffy nodded in understanding and started thinking about a suitable fruit for Kaya, as she was currently very weak. After pondering for a while he had decided to give her a Paramecia type Devil Fruit, * Velocity Velocity Fruit *.

' Jasmine buy this Velocity Velocity Fruit. '

[ Affirmative.

6000 sp has been deducted....

Velocity Velocity Fruit:-

A Paramecia type Devil Fruit, which grants the user the ability of velocity. The user can alter the velocity of everything.

It will work like a upgrade version of Speed Speed Fruit. But it won't be as overpowered as Vector Manipulation. ]

At first Luffy thought of giving her a Logia type, but seeing this fruit changed his original plans.

' Jasmine, is there any way of extraction of Devil Fruits? '

[ Yes, you have to spend the appropriate 'sp' for the extraction. But there are some specific conditions to extract a Devil Fruit.

a) The user should be willing to give up his Devil Fruit.

b) The user should be either unconscious or dead for forceful extraction.

c) The fruit must be extracted within 15 minutes after the user's death, or the fruit will reincarnate somewhere else.

One of the above conditions must be met for the successful extraction of Devil Fruits, otherwise the process will be a failure. ]

' Alright, the last question. Howmuch sp is required for upgrading my Sharingan into Rinnegan. '

[ Host you have to exchange 50,000 sp in order to upgrade your Sharingan into Rinnegan. ]

Luffy was speechless by the astronomical amount of sp required for the upgrade. He was basically a poor pauper when it comes to system points.

He had a initial plan to creat some expensive stuffs by using the Arc of Embodiment and exchange them for system credit.

But Jasmine was adamant in not exchanging the objects created by him. So Luffy was forced to either defeat/kill his enemies or find real valuable objects such as gold, Devil Fruits, weapons etc.

Luffy sighed and decided to head back.

When Luffy headed back he saw Kaya was looking outside the window while thinking about something.

So he approached her, " Kaya, is there anything bothering you? " Luffy asked with a worried voice. She turned around and looked straight into his eyes, " Nothing, just some random thoughts. "

Luffy brought out the Devil Fruit and gave it to her, " This is a Devil Fruit. Upon consuming you will gain it's power but will lose your ability to swim. " She took the fruit from him.

The Velocity Velocity Fruit was a purple coloured peach with white swirling like marks. While holding the fruit, Kaya's hands were trembling. She knew what a Devil Fruit was and how rare to find one.

She had never seen one until today but here it is Luffy was giving her like a normal fruit. She looked at the person who changed her life this much.

Her eyes started to moistened. Seeing her about to cry Luffy hurriedly explained, " Don't cry, you don't have to eat it if you don't want to. "

Kaya jumped at him and hugged him tightly while sobbing, " Sniff..Sniff..Thank you for coming into my life. " Luffy was surprised by this confession but was very glad. He just patted her head while comforting her.

" Oh, then shouldn't you give me some rewards. " Luffy decided to tease her a little. But to his surprise, Kaya nodded and kissed on his right cheeck.

Luffy's mind went blank for a moment and he stood on the spot like a idiot. He had no experience when it comes to girls, so the sudden kiss almost made him faint.

Kaya looked at his silly face and giggled a little. Luffy was pulled out of his daydream by the sound of giggling.

The corner of his mouth rose a little, " But i was just jocking. " Kaya was enraged by his reply and shouted, " What!!!!! Then give me my kiss back you scoundrel. "

Luffy just grinned and started running, while Kaya chased behind him. Merry looked at them with a smile, he was really happy for his young miss.
