On the second day, Qin Qin rose early for a jog and returned home to find a lavish breakfast on the table, served by Lee Fong in an apron, chatting and laughing with Lu Xuezhen.
Qin An was sitting on the side, feeling a bit uneasy.
Qin Qin observed Qin An on one side and Lee Fong, laughing and talking with Lu Xuezhen, her lips curving into an enigmatic smile.
"Morning, Aunt Lee, Sister Xuezhen."
Lee Fong turned to Qin Qin, her face lighting up with a brilliant smile, "Qin Qin, come have breakfast."
Qin Qin nodded, quickly freshened up with a shower, and sat down at the table. The table was square, with Qin An seated at the head, Qin Qin on his right, Lu Xuezhen opposite him, and Lee Fong on his left.
Qin An had been silent since Qin Qin arrived, his head bowed as he quietly ate with his intact left hand. But Qin Qin could still see the discomfort and confusion on his face, something new since Lu Xuezhen's arrival.
