The Four Devils

The Four Devils

After disappearing for eight whole years, Qingyang got back being seriously wounded. Chen Bailang offered a lot of money, and even used force, to hire the best team of doctors in the world to help Qingyang and barely got him to come back to life.

Later, when people asked him where did he went in the past eight years and why he had been so seriously injured, Qingyang did not mention a word, and no one could do anything about it.

Only after the old lady's grinding and questioning, Qingyang finally gave away some slight information. He had been serving in the army all these years. As to how he joined the army and which district he served in, he refused to reveal a word.

For this, Chen Bailang used all his relationship in the army in an attempt to uncover Chen Qingyang's files, yet he was shocked by the response he received. Aside from that Qingyang served a period of time in the Southwest Military, all the other archives were blank, and all other efforts were useless.

What shocked Chen Bailang the most was that there was a bodyguard beside Qingyang for more than 20 years. There was a rumor that the bodyguard was a descendant of the Kungfu Champion from the Qing Dynasty. His ability was abnormal. He told Chen Bailang that Qingyang's wounds were caused by a great master.

Since then, Bailang stopped asking Qingyang about his disappearance, which has become an unforgettable mystery of the Chen family.

After breakfast, Qingyang changed into a set of sportswear and went out for a run.

Half a year ago, just as his health improved, Qingyang insisted on getting up every morning to run for two hours. Although his speed was not fast, it still made Qingyang feel exhausted. Every time he finished running, almost every bit of his strength was used.

Along the familiar mountain road, Qingyang started to run at a slow pace, not much faster than normal people, but his movement was very coordinated, and the distance of his steps was always the same.

"Hi, Yang! Good morning."

After a while, a young man in a white T-shirt walked up to him. When compared with Qingyang, the man seemed to have a natural sparkling appearance.

He was almost 8 foot tall, with a face so handsome that could make women jealous. He has dagger-like eyebrows, stars-like eyes, and a smile with a trace of grim haze; he was full of noble spirit, something that required the cultivation by a truly powerful family.

Such a perfect man was absolutely the center of attention where ever he went.

Qingyang nodded slightly, and then went on running. The perfect man slowly followed him. It had been like this for nearly two months already.

After a short run, Qingyang took out an old bronze pocket watch, which was one of the two things he brought back from his eight years of disappearance. The perfect man once laughed at Qingyang for using such outdated things, but after Qingyang gave him a vicious stare, he dared not mention anymore.

Looking at the time, an hour and forty minutes, 20 minutes faster than yesterday, it seems that his strength has greatly recovered.

"Lady, I remember that you are still studying in Fuhai University, aren't you?" Qingyang leaned on a big tree by the side of the road and asked, looking straight ahead with both eyes. There was a deep look in his eyes that did not match his age.

Every time he heard himself being called "Lady", the muscles of the perfect man's face twitches. His original name is Nangong Liang (南宫凉). When he was a child, a classmate who could not distinguish between "n" from "l" in Pinyin called him "Nangong-Niang" (南宫娘) which means "lady". Since then, "Lady"(Niang) has become the nickname name of Nangong Liang.

"Well, I will be a senior after the school year starts. What's wrong?" Nangong Liang just finished fifty push-ups, stood up and asked. His face wasn't red, and he wasn't panting.

"Next semester, I'll be at Fuhai University," Qingyang said faintly with a glimmer seemed to be expecting something in the corners of his eyes.

"What? Are you kidding? I remember you didn't take the College Entrance Exam after you came back, right?" Asked Liang in surprise.

"Just a piece of paper. I've asked Bailang to help me fix it." Qingyang shrugged and said.

Liang suddenly awakened to Qingyang's father's ability in the area. An admission notice; even if it was a diploma from Fuhai University. If Qingyang needed it, it would be placed on his bedside in a matter of hours.

"Also, how about Yaojing and Shan?" Qingyang asked.

"Those two are much more successful than we are. I heard that Yaojing has started to take over her family business. Last time I called her for half a minute. She said that she could've earned at least 10 million Huaxia Yuan within that time. I dared not to contact her for the next two months. Shan is even better. After six years of training in the army, and his grandfather being the general, everything went as smoothly as possible for him; no surprise. If nothing went wrong, at the end of this year, there should be two bars and a star on his shoulders." Liang said with a slight smile.

Hearing such great news from two of his best friends, Qingyang's face brightened, and his eyes showed a trace of longing. He missed the wonderful times they had together.

Years ago, Nangong Liang, Zhao Zushan, Qiao Xiaoyao, and Chen Qingyang were known as the Four Devils. Together, they fought, gathered, gambled, smoked and drank. They did everything rebellious and did it often. They were the headache of the school and were the hardest to deal with. Who can mess around with such family backgrounds?
