12 To eliminate your love rival!
Even though her looks changed, Alice was as gorgeous as ever. She had curled her bouncy hair. That's what Daniel feared the most because those looks are only for him to see, no one else! Anyways, no backing off now. When Alice was checking out herself on the mirror, she was handed a phone by Daniel. She took it from him & asked, "What's this?"
"Your new phone & new number."
"Hmm."
"We'll be heading now."
"Mm..."
When they arrived at the music studio, Alice wasn't the slightest bit of nervous. She was well experienced in such things because she had been recording since her childhood & teenage days. Especially, during the last years of her with her Dad, she was encouraged by him to sing more & more. She took a deep breath & looked at Daniel. He nodded at her, "Go ahead."
She entered the room & tested the mic herself & then she explained the musical piece to the people present. After checking that all the music instruments were okay, she headed into the recording room. Even, the sound engineers were impressed by her expertise.

When she finished her recording at one go, the people present were silent for a moment before they started applauding. Even Daniel couldn't stop himself from clapping. After she came out, she asked Daniel like an employee asking her boss, "Boss, did I do well?"
Daniel took the hint & said, "Good, I'll get your manager ready now."
"Thank you, sir!"
But the sound engineers broke into a cold sweat seeing their easy conversation. Nevertheless, they came & shook hands with her. How many people did the Boss himself accompany?
"You did great! We'll send the recorded CD this afternoon."
"Thank you!", Alice smiled.

After heading out, Alice had been smiling ear to ear. Her amused expression infected Daniel as well. He said, "Go home & work hard."
"Eh? Are we not going to the agency?"
"Nope!", he said in an imposing manner. Daniel was afraid of the kind of reactions the male staff will give after seeing her.
"Why?"
Daniel narrowed his eyes meaningfully. Alice laughed & said, "Jealous?"

"Who was that girl?", the lady boss said, as her fingers rhythmically tapped the handle of her leather chair.
"A fresh talent", said her lackey.
"Why was the boss here?"
"He accompanied the girl here", the lackey added carefully.
"Is the CD ready?", asked the lady boss.
"Yes, Miss."
"Pack it up. I'll personally hand over to the main branch", a smirk played on her lips.

30 minutes later
"Boss, the head of the music studio is here to meet you", Lin informed Daniel.
"Let her in", Daniel had buried his nose in a file.
Very soon, the rhythmic clanking of high heels was heard. The door slightly opened & a sexy woman in bouncy curls wearing a short dress entered.
"Good morning, Boss", Lily smiled politely.
"Hmm", Daniel replied without sparing her glance. Lily was a bit annoyed at his aloof attitude. Nevertheless, she maintained her smile & said politely, "Sir, here's the CD we recorded early this morning."
With the mention of the CD, Daniel finally raised his eyes & looked for a moment before burying his nose into a document. Then he said with an indifferent voice, "Leave it on the table."
His single glance made Lily's heart race like a wild horse. But his indifferent attitude towards her made her determination to conquer him one day grew stronger!

Alice was busy reading some magazines when she heard the honking of a car. She ran out in the balcony & saw Daniel stepping down from his car. She ran down the stairs & out to the front door to welcome Daniel home. As soon as she went out, she ran into the arms of Daniel like a kid running into her father's arms. She looked at him like a sunflower facing the sun.
"Welcome home."
"Hmm."
"How was your day?"
"Not bad", Daniel's mood which was ruined by Lily, was immediately changed after seeing Alice.
"Hungry? Wanna grab lunch?"
"Yep!"
They held hands & walked in.

1 hour later
After lunch, the living room was changed into a princess closet.
"Get ready", Daniel commanded.
"Where're we going?", Alice asked with big puppy eyes.
"To eliminate your love rival!"
Alice was dumbfounded!
