3 Just wait & watch
Daniel snapped out of his daze when he heard his assistant's voice, "Boss, she's here."
"Let her in."
"Yes, Boss."
Daniel took a deep breath, preparing himself to see her face to face after 6 years.
Alice was led into the luxurious cafe room while she gaped at everything. This can't be a scam, right? No scammer will book an entire floor. Her eyes rested on the man in black standing opposite her whose back she was facing. Suddenly, he turned & Alice's expression turned from that of a surprise to amusement, "Daniel?"
He gently nodded in agreement while she gaped at him. To be honest, Alice admired & loved him with all her heart. But back then, she ditched him for her Dad's dream. Actually, she felt really guilty. But things have changed. This man from her past was back with an impressive aura & she was ready to fall into the deep pool called love. In her high school & college days, he was someone who was willing to collect stars & trade souls for her. Was he still willing to be beside her? Again? Will this working world allow them to live like a normal couple? Will their new working relationship allow them to be free with each other like those times 6 years back? She shook her head in an attempt to push her inner thoughts away. She blinked quite a few times when she heard his deep voice, "Let's have a seat."
Alice nodded with an 'mm'. She flattened the hem of her dress before sitting down. Daniel noticed the girl opposite her. She was wearing a deep emerald short dress with short heels. Her short shoulder length hair frayed gently over her shoulders. As to what he remembered, the girl had waist length hair in her high school & college days. As she sat, she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. She had the most beautiful pair of blue eyes. But those pair of eyes were filled with determination. The determined glint of her eyes welcomed him. Then she glanced at the table in front of her.
"What would you like?", Daniel asked out of nowhere.
"Anything is fine with me", Alice put on a professional smile while Daniel sighed internally. Then, he gestured & a waiter came forward, "Bring us two cold coffees."
"Yes, sir."
He looked at her & placed a thick set of papers in front of her, "Let's get straight to the point." She scrutinized the papers closely. The contract papers gave her goosebumps. Before she could respond, he heard his voice, "Breach the other contract & join us."
Alice looked straight into his eyes as she took a sip of her coffee, "Aren't you afraid of ruining your company? After all, the world knows me as someone who stole other people's works."
"I'm not afraid of taking risks. Moreover, I wouldn't have called you, if I was."

The building was in an uproar. The leader of BLISS who called herself a true lyricist posted that their lyricist had run away! Her fans knew her as an honest person. So, everyone was confused. Did she just reveal the skeletons in her closet? Jenny was furious.
"Why did you post such things? Were you drunk?"
"No, I didn't. I wasn't", Rose was on the verge of tears. 😥
"Who did it?"
"Someone hacked it?", Peach raised an eyebrow. 🤨
"Impossible", Jenny slammed the table top.
"Unless someone wants revenge", Sofia gave a knowing frown.
"Impossible. Alice doesn't know that it was us who released her so-called scandal", Jenny again slammed the table.
"And even if she wants, she'll not ruin her Dad's dream, right?", Peach agreed.
"That's a point", Sofia nodded.
"Did I offend someone?",Rose's tears fell uncontrollably. 😭
"Even if she wants, she isn't a hacker & it's not possible for her to arrange a professional hacker in a day", Peach contemplated. 🤔
"Yeah, our webpage was designed in a professional way. So, that might not be the case. But not only Rose, any of you three might have offended someone", but Jenny also added sternly. According to them, the dummy was unable to pull any strings behind their backs. If she did, she wouldn't have ended that way.

"I'm not afraid of taking risks. Moreover, I wouldn't have called you, if I did", his mellow voice echoed through the room which made Alice quirk her brows & she licked at the coffee on her lips. The man opposite her watched her closely. Nope, it's not the time for his thoughts to run wild.
"Then, I'm happy to collaborate", she said with a smile. 🙂
"Just like that", Daniel raised an eyebrow. 🤨
"Yeah, I don't collaborate with people who don't take risks", Alice said in a professional way.
"Sign it", he pushed the stack of papers with a pen on it.
"Not yet", she glanced at the papers & smiled.
"Why?"
"I have to pay their compensation first."
"We'll help you with that after you sign with us."
"It's not worth your money."
"Huh?"
"They'll pay for themselves."
"How?", a smirk played on Daniel's lips. 😼
"Just wait & watch", she smirked back.
The man looked at her with surprise as she smiled back. She had changed herself really quick, isn't it? Then, she stood up, "I'll take my leave now." She turned on her heels while he watched her with his mouth hung open a little. As she slammed the door behind her & left, Daniel called in his assistant, "Keep an eye on her & let me know her every move." The assistant noticed his seriousness & nodded a 'yes'.
