10 Her Biggest Mistake

"Chairman Adley, your son's so handsome & it's his ripe age for marriage. Why don't you find him, someone?",one of the members from the board of directors questioned him in a serious manner. Father Adley called a meeting this morning with the board of directors & after wrapping up, this man was continuously bickering him about his son. But he kept his cool & said, "He already has someone. Your worries are needless." Actually, he knew very well that his son was in love since his college days & he knew Alice too. Though not personally. He had once seen her during the college carnival where he was invited. That day, Alice had sung a very soothing song with her soothing voice. It was pleasant to the ears after a long session of party songs. Moreover, he was an ardent fan of music. So, coaxing him didn't work for Mr. Lee.

Actually, Daniel knew how die-hard fan she was of BTS. So, he went beyond the tradition to manage her. Who knows what will happen to her if she collaborates with BTS because of her cute looks? 𤨠Because those cute features of her only belonged to him. Being possessive? So what? She's my one & only. That may seem silly, but that's the truth.
Daniel turned to look at the girl who was staring out of the car window in a daze. The bubbly girl had suddenly become quiet. So, he gently called out, "What are you thinking?"
Snapping out of her daze, Alice turned her head to look at him, "Back then, I should have listened to you when I was drugged by them in the party many years ago. If I'd, I wouldn't have ended up this way. "
And thus, he remembered the night when Alice was drugged & left alone in a dark alleyway. As he was told, Alice had tried calling her friends but either they didn't respond or complained that her voice was breaking. Out of desperation, she called him, & when he arrived, he saw the girl sitting in a stiffened position. She was trying really hard to maintain her composure & remain conscious. Then, she slipped out of her consciousness as she fell into his arms. She was taken to her home by him.
Moreover, the next day, rumors started that she was r@ped! Taking this opportunity, a girl who had a longtime crush on him nearly insulted her! In front of him!
"You know what, Dan? She...", an evil smirk played on her lips.
Daniel had always been sharp-tongued & so he retorted sharply, "She was r@ped, right? If a girl gets drunk in front of her boyfriend, then she's r@ped. So, in my conclusion, the one who gets drunk in front of men every day, must be six months pregnant by now."
"You...", the girl gnashed her teeth valiantly & left, feeling humiliated.
On one hand, people watching the scene felt sympathy for the girl & on the other hand, cheered for Daniel. Soon, he saw the three Lady Vixens approaching her. All of them looked like the worst worrywarts in the whole world.
"Were you okay? I really didn't get your call last night", Rose put up with a good show.
"Thank heavens, that you're safe" & "No wonder Daniel came to her rescue." , followed suit.
Alice looked at them with a blank expression & just left. Daniel followed behind. It was such that Alice didn't talk to them for a month but she reconciled, & that was her biggest mistake.

Blue Villa
Eddie had stayed back in the family mansion last night. When she returned, she was greeted by an empty Villa. She was stunned. When she asked the butler, she was informed that her brother hadn't returned the previous night. Where had this brother for hers gone? So, she called him. The call got through one ring & a voice was heard, "Who's this?"
Eddie was so surprised to hear a woman's voice that she almost forgot to respond.
"Hello?" That voice...sounds familiar! đ¤¨
"Can I talk to my brother?"
Alice snapped so hard at the word 'brother' that her hair stylist almost burned her ear with the straightener.
"Eddie! Is that you?"
"Huh...you know me? How?"
"Oh common! It's me, Alice."
"Alice?", Eddie called out in an astonished manner. Was she in touch with my brother all these years? How come I never knew?
"Yes, How're you?"
"Fine. You?"
"Me too."
Eddie rarely made friends & Alice was one of those she befriended. Finally, she understood why her brother smiled so much & daydream at work. And the only reason he didn't return last night was Alice. And the fact she didn't recognize her ID because of her brother's peculiar way of saving numbers.
"I see...where's he?"
"I'm just busy changing my looks & he gave me his phone to play games because I got bored easily. He's waiting outside."
"Ah! Then no offense. Take your time. I'll call you later."
After Eddie hung up, she fell in deep thought. As far as she knew, Alice left her brother years ago & had become a successful lyricist & singer. She even had a girl band of her own. Supposedly, BLISS. But she heard that she was involved in a scandal which said that she had stolen all the lyrics from her best friend, Rose. But she had also seen her writing passionately in her high school & college days. But, still, doubt clouded Eddie's mind.
