Inhaling a sharp breath to relax herself, she finally got her courage back and said at once, "I want you to keep the news of my marriage hidden from everyone.."

A deep silence fell in the room as none of them made any kind of sound after Katherine's confession.

After few minutes, when the head of HR department was finally able to digest her every words, he could only murmur the only word which was probably not appropriate for the time being.

"What??"

Katherine knew that she needed to give a proper explanation to him to make him understand the true depth of the situation she was living in.

So without wasting anymore second, she started to give explanations for her unjustified demand, "Sir, as you know that both my husband and I had an arranged marriage. But still we're very much happy with each other..

In fact, I feel very much lucky to get a life partner like my husband in my life. But right now, we want to start our relationship from the scratch which usually happens in love marriages..

We want to enjoy some romantic dates like any other young couple first, then fall in love with each other involuntarily. And after a period of time when we're finally done with celebrating every phase of our life, then we'll be going to announce our wedding with a big reception party. So for the time being, can you please not disclose the news of I being married?"

The HR head was quite impressed with the whole thing. He was liking the idea of getting to know each other first properly and then admitting their relationship only after falling in love.

With a satisfactory smile on his face, he said, "I'm actually very happy with the way you both are trying to make your marriage successful.. Otherwise, the kids of your age nowadays only know to play with emotions.

They have actually started to make a fun of marriage. But as everyone says, there will be always one exception who could change the world with their goodness. And I can find it in both of you.

Don't worry.. Your secret will be safe with me until you guys decide to disclose it yourself. All the best for a successful married life, my child!"

Katherine smiled getting a positive response from him and said, "Thanks sir.. I'll be taking your leave then.."

The HR head nodded his head and Katherine left from there with too many thoughts jumbled in her head.

As soon as she came back into her cabin, her memory drifted towards the day when she had this particular conversation with Ethan on a serious note…

Few days ago…

It was one of the usual evening for both of them when they were watching a movie in Netflix while munching pizza..

They were enjoying their cozy moment with each other, half lying on the couch under one blanket and doing nothing but lazing around when she noticed Ethan getting silent all of a sudden.

It made Katherine a little confused as it was so not like Ethan who loved to blabber a lot.

Tilting her head, she kept her left palm on his right cheek and gently caressed it before asking in a worried tone, "Ethan, are you okay?"

Ethan who seemed to be in deep thoughts, at last came back to his senses and replied with a small smile, "Yeah.. I'm perfectly fine, Kathy. What can happen to me when you're with me?"

Though Ethan's words were extremely cheesy, but it didn't make Katherine blush like any other time as she knew that the smile Ethan was giving her was a fake one..

"Ethan.. You know right that you can share any of your problems or worries with me? I'll try my best to help you out if you give me the chance." Katherine said softly, trying to give him as much support as possible.

Ethan finally left a huge sigh and said, "Kathy.. Actually I was thinking about something which kept bothering me for the past few days. But I don't know how to open it up to you."

Katherine understood that the matter which Ethan was talking about, was not a casual one but something very serious.

"Ethan.. Before being a husband and wife, we're friends, right? Then don't hesitate and just speak your mind out…. Hmmm?" Katherine softly murmured.

Nodding his head, Ethan just pulled Katherine more closer to him and held her hand firmly as he started to say, "Kathy.. Actually, I was thinking about how our marriage..."
