10 Chapter 10

Asher's POV

Early the next morning

I don't know how many times I snoozed the alarm but I was tired of hitting it every 10 minutes so that is why at 8:47am I actually stood up from my bed and dragged my tired self over to the bathroom knowing that I'm already hanging on thin thread with Dominic because I didn't submit the files yesterday like he requested me to.

After fifteen minutes freshening up I head over to my office to retrieve the files that I'm going to give Dominic. I find my office unlocked knowing that Sally and Elias must have gotten here already.

I enter my office to find Elias sitting on my chair behind my desk. I shoot up an eyebrow at him.

"I swear I was not acting like you or being an Alpha or anything like that" he said his hands up in surrender standing from my seat slowly.

I just exhale to laugh at him.

"Good morning to you too" I say chuckling at him.

"Yeah morning" he says with a grin on his face looking somewhat relieved.

"Has Sally been here?" I asked him as I gather the files I'm handing over to Dominic.

"Yes she has she just went out to get our breakfast".

"Okay then let me head over to Dominic's office to drop these reports."

"Yeah you do that".

I open the door to almost run into Sally carrying two trays on her hands piled with food. I swiftly collect one of the trays from her as we both drop it on to the coffee table in the center of the room.

"Hey you" she says giving me a side hug which I return.

"Hey, I just asked about you from Elias he said you went to get breakfast"

"Yep" she says plopping onto one of the plush seats in my office.

"I'm heading over to Dominic's office to drop the reports" I say as I wave the huge bulk of papers in front of my face to emphasize my point.

"Okay. Don't do anything to piss him off" she says knowing a little bit of my history with Dominic.

I haven't exactly told them anything about me being a lycan and how Dominic abuses me but they know that Dominic isn't my father and I have a very obvious distaste for him.

I know that my friends have nothing against Lycans so telling them won't be a problem they will most likely be mad that I kept such a secret from them but all in due time I will tell them everything.

"Sure I will try" I say shooting her a grin while Elias just shakes his head at me.

"Before I forget" Sally said looking more serious.

"I saw people with Zach who smelt off they were humans actually but they will most likely be hunters because they didn't seem surprised or anything about the fact that they were around wolves" Sally adds.

At the mention of hunters my heartbeat increases which causes both Elias and Sally to look at me as if to ask if I'm okay.

I breathe in and out to calm myself before replying to them.

"Its okay. I guess he's just carrying out his plan to eliminate the rest of the Lycan wolves in hiding." I shrug.

Before they could reply to my comment I excuse myself to submit the reports.

Dominic had two offices my guess was that he was in the one in the North wing on the third floor. So I took an elevator around the corner to head to my destination.

On getting there I didn't feel comfortable knowing that people who hunt wolves for a living are on the other side off the door I'm facing planning the destruction of my kind.

With a sigh I knock on the door hearing a muffled come in I open the door and step inside closing it gently behind me.

All six pair of eyes are on me as I turn around to face Dominic sitting at the far end of the room with his beta; Zach standing like a bodyguard at the back of him.

There's a guy smoking a cigarette with crazy black hair that has serious looking spikes he smirks at me when he catches me staring, there's another man right beside him which I'm assuming is the spike haired guy's assistant, he looks younger and less intimidating with his pen and notebook.

Opposite them in the other seat is a man and a woman, I don't look at them to long because the woman was giving me weird looks I can describe as trying to be seductive. I glance around at the faces of people I don't know to fully face Dominic.

"Sorry for interrupting I wanted to drop these" I say not caring about the fact that he is giving me his killer eyes.

"Didn't you know I was in the middle of an important meeting". He says gritting his teeth.

I give him an innocent look as I say "No."

"Just go I'll get back to you later" he replies giving me one of his infamous smirks. Without another word I let myself out closing the door behind me.

Now that I'm less occupied I think now would be the best time to head over to the packs shopping mall to get gifts for my friends.

I spend about three hours in the mall shopping for Christmas presents making sure that Elias or Sally didn't see or smell me I crept back to my room to put the gifts away, I will come back to wrap them.

On getting back to the office I find Elias, Winnie; Elias' mate and Sally all sprawled out on the comfy seats in my office watching a movie. Elias pauses it as he notices me entering the office.

"Dude where have you been?" He asked.

"Just went shopping" I answered.

"Hey Winnie, where have you been?" I greeted her.

"Hey you" she said rising to give me a quick hug. "I was out of town just came back yesterday".

"Well that explains it" I say going over to my desk while she goes to sit by Elias.

"Play the movie" Sally said eagerly.

We all laugh at her while Elias presses play. And like that I keep myself in the company of my friends not knowing what was coming for me.
