Denver's POV
"Boss! Boss!" I heard Adolphus and Lucas' anxious voices as my eyes gradually opened.
"Your shout alone can send one back to hell." I grumbled, sounding annoyed.
"Sorry boss. We are just happy to see you awake." Lucas apologized.
"What's going on?" I asked, my eyes darting from Lucas back to Adolphus.
"Boss, have you forgotten what happened?" Adolphus asked, staring at me anxiously.
"Of course I haven't but what happened after then? I can't remember anything." I shook my head.
"That's because you have been bedridden for more than three days." Adolphus spilled bluntly and my eyes widened.
"What? Why…?" I trailed off in confusion.
"I think it has to do with your illness. The healing process was so slow that I had to contact a human doctor to check up on you." Adolphus explained sadly.
"This is bad." I lifted my hand only to see the fresh burn in my arm.
