17 Shopping

Lex passed under the gate of the Town, 'I still don't even know what this town is called...' Lex thought to himself as he crossed, he couldn't shake the feeling that the two metal gates would close with him stuck between them.

The Town looked the way Lex expected it to, the houses and streets resembled the style that the Victorians had with the main difference being that the world was advanced enough to have electricity.

It wasn't advanced enough to have phones or TV's, although, Lex didn't know if that was the case in this world anymore. They didn't exist since players would be able to instantly message each other through their UI so there was no need to add them.

'I need to get some food, then I might do a little shopping for new clothes and weapons, I might even get some for Bones.' Lex thought as he looked at his menu.

'Oh, I have unspent points!' Lex thought as he looked across his stats briefly.

He added four points to Agility and two into Strength, followed by two points into his Wisdom vis his Relic, the Crown Of Bones, as he walked around looking at the area around him.

Strength: 38 (33+5) [+]

Lex had managed to sell the Sapphire Banana for 1 Gold and 20 Silver coins he bargained for quite a while to try and raise the price as high as possible, he had also found an inn that wasn't too far from the Adventurers Alliance and the front gate of the Town.

The Adventurers Alliance was a corporation formed by a private group that controlled every Guild and Adventurer that existed. They were strictly international and couldn't side with any continent, since every Continent's military power was determined by the strength of their Adventurers.

If you wanted to join the army of a Continent you would have to join the Continents Guild, it cost 10 Gold coins to buy land for a Guild and a Guildmasters Licence.

'I can't wait till I make one!' Lex thought to himself as he remembered every scheme that was run behind the scenes that made Guilds a ton of cash.

Although it was greedy Lex needed money to fund the Guild and make sure that he would rival a Continent's strength, he wanted to create a Guild that he could use to help others in this world or maybe even establish his own country.

'Guilds don't have a requirement in ranking to create, but, I need to actually be an Adventurer first.' Lex thought to himself as he walked around the market.

He ended up buying himself a few sets of casual clothes that he liked, 'How can I fit all of this into my inventory?' Lex thought to himself as he walked around looking for solutions in the marketplace.

Then Lex thought of an ingenious way that he could keep items inside of his inventory. He brought the nearest empty crate and took it into an alleyway, 'I hope this works.' Lex believed as he put the clothes he had brought into the crate.

As he thought about moving the crate into his inventory it was abruptly covered with a vantablack aura, Lex instinctively looked at his inventory to find the crate of clothes now being stored inside only one slot.

'It does work!' Lex exclaimed as he thought about all the things he could do with this newfound knowledge.

'So far I've only spent two Silver coins I should be able to spend quite a bit on gear.' He thought to himself as he browsed the blacksmiths wears.

Lex walked touching every pair of one-handed axes that was inside of the store and after some weird glances, Lex finally compiled the items he wanted.

He thanked the blacksmith at the desk who was still looking at Lex with a slightly weirded out expression as he handed the man five Silver coins.

As Lex walked out of the blacksmith's store in the corner of his eye he spotted a jewellery shop, 'I might be able to get something to boost my Wisdom.' Lex reflected as he walked towards the store.

I haven't been able to post daily since I have been revising for my assignments that are coming up.

I am definitely not dropping this story but it might take a while before I get back into uploading daily chapters.
