10 Predator Or Prey

Lex leaned backwards dodging Bones' sword, 'I can still dodge.' Lex thought as he felt time move in slow motion.

The attack was a lot closer than Lex expected it to be, there didn't seem to be that much of a difference in their Agility, 'If I get too reckless and lose a lot of my stamina, this could be really bad.' Lex thought as he gritted his teeth.

He sprinted across the room, 'I need to buy time every second counts!' Lex thought to himself as he passed the halfway point of the room.

The room was quite it was a 15m by 15m area, reaching one side wouldn't buy Lex a lot of time but he needed to survive this battle.

'I can't fight him in equal terms he'll overpower me, I have to buy time.' Lex thought as his back touched the wall.

Bones followed Lex screaming "YOU. COWARD." The entire time. 'If he had a voicebox he would have ended up hurting himself more than me...' Led thought with an annoyed expression.

Bones came towards Lex with a full swing aimed at just under his shoulders. Lex jumped away from the swing while keeping his eyes on Bones.

As Bones' greatsword dug deep into the wall it became harder for Bones to carry on with the momentum.

Lex backed away from Bones, who was struggling to get his greatsword out of the wall, as he saw the message that appeared Infront of him.

Optional Quest: Defeat Bones The Exile

Failure: Death

Rewards: 1500 EXP & ???

'WHAT! Did you see what he just did? That wall barely stopped him...' Lex thought to himself in a panic, he wanted to outlive Bones and possibly run away from him, not fight him.

'Either way, I have to fight him.' Lex quickly thought with a disgruntled expression to himself after considering the rewards he would gain from the quest would help him beat the boss.

Bones was probably the closest thing to this Dungeon Boss' strength, meaning that if he could beat Bones even by a little bit he could grow strong enough to conquer the Dungeon.

Bones left this greatsword, which was plunged deep into the wall, and started running towards Lex.

'He left his greatsword!?' Lex thought as he jumped back narrowly avoiding the haymaker that was thrown towards Lex's face, he had gotten too focused on thinking rather than fighting.

Health: 113/140

Lex went on the defensive for quite a while only taking a few blows to the shoulders and ribcage against Bones. 'I need to start attacking, he'll win if this carries on.' Lex thought as he put his swords in an X shape covering the centre of his body as Bones stuck them directly.

As the punch landed the blades cracked slightly and Bones' moments seemed to slow down. Lex saw his opportunity and began attacking back slashing at Bones' neck hoping to damage his skeletal body.

Lex advanced as Bones backed away dodging most of Lex's attacks skillfully whilst moving towards his nearby greatsword. Lex slashed with his right hand barely scratching Bones' chest piece and creating a high pitched squeal sound as his shortsword and Bones' chest piece collided.

Lex moved the shortsword around in his hand so that that hilt was facing Bones and extended his hand back towards his opponent once more.

Bones dodged the attack causing Lex to hit the hilt of his greatsword slightly dislodging it from its original place. Seeing what had happened Lex jumped back a couple of times keeping his eyes on Bones who was feeding his greatsword.

'Damn, I fell for his trap.' Lex thought as he tried to put as much distance between them as possible.

"You fight well for a coward." Bones stated as he barreled towards Lex who could feel the killing intent almost overwhelm him. Bones began his barrage of attacks within milliseconds of reaching Lex.

'Damn, his enrage will wear off soon but will I survive it?' Lex thought as he struggled to block or avoid each attack.

Health: 83/140

'This isn't good, I'm struggling to see his movements.' Lex thought as he felt a massive shadow cover his face.

Bones' greatsword swiftly came down onto Lex's body.
