[22] Helena: The Woman!

On the top of the City Walls.

With all the guards and Magicians in the battle, no one was present at the city walls to notice that a 3-metre round eerie chrysalis had formed on top of the walls.

The colour of this sticky and round chrysalis was deep crimson, which caused it to look like a giant beating heart.

However, what remained even more mysterious was how the body of an unconscious person inside it continued to shift and morph into a new one.

...

At the centre of the battlefield.

The Goblin leader smirked, held his huge double-ball flail high up in the air and swung it toward the woman hidden inside her small barrier.

The moment Cassandra felt that gravity was about to increase she cast a small anti-gravity barrier upon herself. Well, the consumption of Mana for such spells was huge so she could only summon a very small one for herself.

I don't have Mana left in my Chamber...

if it wasn't for the high-grade Mana stone Luke gave me, I'd have already died by now...

Since the stone is all used up I can only hold this bastard like this for some time before someone hopefully arrives for help...

She contemplated in her mind and chuckled at the words that Luke had said to her earlier.

I...

I'd make sure to survive this... Luke...

The Goblin leader noticed that the barrier holding the female safe was about to break so he chuckled and shouted, "I assure you human you're the most delicious food I've ever eaten in my life... Don't worry, I'll relish every piece of your lavish meat!"

Listening to the smirking bastard Cassandra wanted nothing more than to beat the hell out of him at the moment. Yet, she knew her strength wasn't enough to do that. So, she just gulped down her anger and continued to fend off his attacks.

Since the gravity spell of the Goblin leader was an area of effect, everyone standing 20 metres near him suffered the same fate as Cassandra.

This was the reason why he dispatched all his soldiers away from him.

To catch them off guard earlier he even sacrificed hundreds of his soldiers.

*Crack*

In just a few fleeting moments, Cassandra could sense her magical reserves depleting rapidly, her barrier spell struggling to hold against the relentless pressure.

Unlike Cassandra, Jordan and the others on the battlefield lacked any protective enchantments, rendering them vulnerable to the crushing force of the gravity spell. One by one, they succumbed to unconsciousness under its weight.

As despair threatened to overtake her, Cassandra's spirits lifted at the sight of a familiar figure rushing toward them. With a faint smile, she welcomed the approaching aid before collapsing to the ground, her consciousness slipping away.

*Suush*

The Goblin leader made a nasty expression and was about to move toward her unconscious body but...

*Boom*

With a powerful force and a sudden pain in his side, he found himself flying in the opposite direction.

W-who? He thought while still accelerating in mid-air.

However, just as he was about to gain control over his body, another powerful force landed on his other side.

*Boom*

With a booming noise, he was once again sent flying in the opposite direction.

"Curse it!" he shouted as he cursed in pure anger.

The relentless barrage of attacks didn't inflict significant physical harm on him, but the sheer force and shockwaves behind each strike disrupted his control and stability.

Despite enduring the onslaught for several minutes, he found himself tossed around like a ragdoll, unable to mount a defence.

Finally, recognizing the need for a decisive countermove, he initiated his second technique.

As a powerful kick was poised to connect with his body, he vanished into thin air, evading the attack with swift and elusive manoeuvring.

With the sudden disappearance of their target, the figure concealed in the shadows emerged, a smirk playing on her lips as she turned her gaze towards the Goblin leader, who had reappeared some distance away.

"Ooh, so it was Teleportation... Quite rare indeed, to possess both Gravity and Space powers," she chuckled, her eyes lingering on the battered Goblin before her.

Huffing and puffing, the Goblin leader acknowledged her with a grudging respect. "Same goes for you... To command the Shadow element... That's unique even in my world."

Helena offered no response, disappearing from her spot in an instant, leaving behind nothing but an eerie silence.

"Fucking hell! Let me catch my damn breath first," he muttered through gritted teeth, annoyance evident in his voice as he braced himself for another round of defence.

Yet, his efforts proved futile.

History repeated itself, hurling him dozens of meters away, but this time, something was dreadfully different.

"Ahh!" he bellowed in agony, his scream piercing the air as he realized his entire left arm had been torn from his body.

"How dare you!" he roared, anguish mingling with rage.

A few meters ahead, a woman with neatly tied crimson hair materialized, a sinister smile gracing her lips as she observed his torment. "Hurts, doesn't it?" she taunted, her voice dripping with satisfaction.

With a sadistic gleam in her eyes, she retrieved her twin axes from her belt, the metal glinting menacingly in the light. "Oh, please, show me more of that delightful expression as my babies carve you up~," she purred, a twisted smirk playing on her lips as she crouched into a battle stance, poised to launch herself toward him with deadly intent.

C-crazy woman! The Goblin leader thought, his mind reeling as he stemmed the bleeding and tightened his grip on the weapon in his right hand.

In a flash, Helena materialized before him, aiming to cleave through his chest.

"Fuck!" he cursed vehemently, forced to trigger his Teleportation once more to narrowly dodge the deadly strike

"Aw, I missed it," she spoke with a disappointed expression.

Then, she looked at him dashed towards the unconscious Cassandra and couldn't help but think to herself: Hmm, a monster indeed... Why did I even expect a warrior's battle... Well, whatever... I suppose it's time to finish this, oh right, I need to deal with Weaklings too after this... What a hassle...

With a graceful smile, she vanished from sight.

...

Goblin leader pov:

I ran away...

No, it does not matter.

I know I can't win against that freak.

Whenever I tried to find an opening she would do it faster than me...

Fuck it!!

Even if I'm going down, I'll just kill a few more of them if I have to...

That's why I aimed for the former woman who took a toll on my stamina.

That bitch... I'll definitely kill her!

With a quick jump, I arrived near her. I grinned as I thought about all the mess her flesh and blood would cause...

However, I knew that maniac would pop out again near me just like previous times so...

One last time out of desperation, I teleported and changed my target...

I appeared beside the silver-haired woman who fought bravely against me inside the dungeon and thought that she must be a person of great importance so killing her would do a lot better than killing that purple-haired one.

I noticed that the maniac had materialized at my previous spot and looking at her panicked expression I finally grinned in delight.

"Fooled you, bitch!" I shouted before I launched a punch straight to the unconscious woman's head with my remaining right hand, waiting for her head to pop like a small explosion.

*Thud*
