Her secret.

What would you do if you had no choice but to die in 7 years? You would try to live your life to the very best, right?

Well, that's not the case for 16-year-old Lunette, who was cursed to die at the age of 22.

Lunette's big dark secret is a secret that nobody knows…

"Lunette, are you sure you want to go to school? I think it'll be better if you continue getting homeschooled…"

"I'll be fine, mom. If I continue getting homeschooled, I'll just die without having time to see the real world."

"Lunette… you know I hate it when you mention that, me and your father will get rid of the curse before your 22nd birthday."

"Thank you mother, I'll be going to school now. Goodbye."

As Lunette left the house, she knew there was no way for the curse to be lifted. She would just die on her 22nd birthday…

But! Lunette wanted to die with no regrets! So to do that, she had a secret that she had decided to take to her grave.

Until one day someone found out about her deep dark secret…

"Hey, have you heard?! There's going to be a blood moon tonight! It's super rare and only comes once every 500 hundred years."

Everyone was talking about the blood moon that was going to occur tonight. There wasn't a single person who didn't know about the big event! Even Lunette knew…

As Lunette made her way to school, she had a mixed feeling in her stomach. It felt like a combination of anxiety, dread, and excitement all at once. Lunette just shrugged it off and continued with her day.

As Lunette sat in her seat, she sighed. She stared out the window. The wind blew through her scarlet red hair that was as red as a fresh, beautiful apple. Her ocean blue eyes looked mesmerizing. It was as if they were a beautiful ocean that would sink you all the way to end with no escape…

Lunette's first class of the day, which was maths, had already started. And… she was already sleeping in class. Not a good start, right?

But, as Lunette was sleeping peacefully, she was suddenly woken up by the horrid screaming of her maths teacher. He gave everyone the chills when he yelled!

"Ahhh! I really hope maths is over soon… I can't stand Mr. Jake's class!" You could tell that everyone, including Lunette, were always thinking this when they had Mr. Jake's class. That's just how boring and annoying his class was.

As time flew by, maths class had already ended and, just like that, Lunette's first day of school flew by quite fast. It was already home time.

As Lunette left the school, she decided to go to a special place. She needed to do something that was a secret.

As Lunette made her way to an abandoned house, she realized it was getting dark. Lunette ignored it. As she reached the building, she pulled out a pocketknife out of her pocket and slit the flesh on her hand.

The blood was flowing, and she drew something like a pentagram with her blood. Lunette was about to recite some words but just when she was about to, a voice from behind came up to her and said.

"Lunette, I know you're cursed."

My motivation to write has struck again!
