Chapter 9

The next morning.

Logan woke up in the woods, a little shaken.

He raised his hand to his head, feeling a slight headache.

"What happened?" A confused expression appeared on his face, once again, he didn't have an idea how he fell asleep.

But he had a strange dream, he dreamt about attacking the man who threatened him, killing him with his hands, or, not his hands since there were long claws in them, and it was hairy.

Looking around, he was stunned when he saw the state of his clothes, they were destroyed. Unlike the last time, they weren't ripped by a claw mark, rather, they seemed to have been torn from excessive force.

"What's happening?" He held his head, further confused by what was going on.

First of all, he recalled coming here in the middle of the night, but he once again had no idea what followed right after. Other than his strange dream, he had also been getting visions or flashbacks. He couldn't call them flashbacks per se, since he didn't recall experiencing anything like that.

'Could I be going crazy?' He stood on the same spot for over ten minutes, confused.

He snapped back to his senses when he realized the sun was already rising.

'Crap!'

He couldn't stay any longer since he had to return. His father is expected to come back today, so he had to make sure Stephanie was fine.

It didn't take him long to get home. With a leap, he landed on the roof, athletically entering his room silently through the window.

Just as he entered, he heard Stephanie opening her door.

'Looks like she just woke up.' He thought to himself before quickly changing from his destroyed clothes and walking over to open the door of his room.

Stephanie who was about to knock was taken aback when the door opened on its own.

"Huh? How come you're awake?" She asked suspiciously.

"What do you mean? I always wake up early." Logan ruffled her hair as he said.

He had changed out of his torn clothes, placing them under his bed, well hidden. Once Stephanie leaves, he would discard them.

Stephanie kept her gaze on him for a while, not accepting his words, she asked after a while, "When's dad coming back?"

"Today, I think. Since he didn't come yesterday, then he should definitely come back today." Logan explained to her.

"Okay." Stephanie nodded before going back to her room.

Logan heaved a sigh of relief, when he came back, he noticed there was a faint scent of blood around him. At the time he woke up, he was disoriented from the state he found himself in, so he didn't notice it.

He had so many questions running through his head, but obviously no answers.

In his flashbacks or vision, he saw Daphne once again. It felt weird since he didn't speak with her. This was the reason he approached her the previous day.

'Could she be connected to this?'

Once again, his question didn't have an answer. With no other option, he went to take his bath and prepared what they would eat before leaving for school.

Some minutes later, he got to school.

Getting there, he saw Castiel waiting for him outside, a little worked up for some reason.

"Are you alright?" He asked when he got close to him.

"There's been another wolf attack." Castiel said.

"So soon? Doesn't it usually take at least a month or two before a new attack is reported?" Logan asked, shocked.

"Yes, that's why it's strange. And this one occurred in the main town…" Castiel went on to tell him about it.

According to what he heard, he realized that one of the people attacked was none other than the man who threatened Logan the previous day.

When Logan heard this, he found it confusing at first, before freezing in shock. The description was exactly like his dream, and he saw that man. To be precise, according to his dream, he went after the man.

'I'm just overthinking things. First of all, I'm a human, and other than that, there's no way I can kill someone.' He said to himself.

But he however couldn't remain calm after hearing of the event.

This was too strange, how could what he dreamt of happen? It didn't make any sense whatsoever.

His life has been a mess since that day, and he needed answers, unfortunately for him, he had only one lead, and that lead was nothing more than a guess. Daphne was the only person he knew amongst the two people he saw in his vision.

He sat through class disoriented from what he heard. It was impossible for him to accept, well, this wasn't something people would just accept. It just doesn't make sense.

He thought of approaching Daphne once again, but she didn't come to school. This wasn't the first time she was missing school so he didn't really think much about it. His second option now was to find the man he saw in his vision, but the strange thing was that he didn't recall ever seeing the man…

Just as he got to this point, he recalled something.

'That's right, he came with Daphne on the day she transferred here.' He said to himself.

At first, he didn't recall the man, but after thinking about it for so long, he finally remembered the man.

In his vision, Daphne and the man were speaking about something, unfortunately, their conversation was somewhat fuzzy, he couldn't clearly hear what they were saying.

He looked at his friend, and he almost wanted to tell him about his dream, but he decided against it. What would Castiel think about him if he heard this? He would most likely think he had gone mad.

Even he thinks he's going mad.

He closed from school, unable to say a word. He pretended to be okay, but Castiel being friends with him for so long noticed his strange behavior. He knew it was from the time he told him about the attack.

'Logan's been acting strange since the turn of the week. What's he hiding?' He asked himself as they walked to pick Stephanie up from school before heading to the bus stop.

Logan wasn't even able to speak to Stephanie, or even smile like he usually does. It was like he was a different person. His mind was clearly disrupted by something, something he obviously doesn't want to share.
