Start of the Trial

"Your Majesty, I have returned from my sleep." A humanoid figure is seen kneeling in front of the Queen.

"You may rise, Elder Wang Shi."

This man was Wang Shi, the dragon that was together with Mu Yue. He was currently in his humanoid form. In front of her was a lady with white hair and red eyes.

The Queen was sitting on the throne with a female attendant on her right. Guards were also around the area ready to eliminate any threat that may appear.

"Your Majesty, I would like to inform you about something related to the royal family. I prefer if it becomes a private talk."

"Hmm... everyone, leave us two alone."

All of the people inside know that Elder Wang Shi will not harm the Queen and so they left without saying anything.

The members of the blood race condemn betrayal but it cannot be avoided that sometimes it happens. Like a certain incident several years ago.

"I came here to report that when I awakened from my sleep, I sensed a possessor of royal blood nearby. I didn't go after that person on that day as I sensed some trouble coming. Afterfromrecovered for being asleep for too long, I went around the area until one day I sensed that person again. It was at that time I took that person with me home, a little girl with royal blood and white hair."

"Can you tell me where you found her?"

"On the outer islands inside the human territory. All alone, no bloodlings nearby."

"Perhaps she is my child." The Queen muttered.

Wang Shi was a little surprised. Why would the Queen's daughter be left alone? Also, when did she have a child? Before he slept, the Queen was unmarried.

He will not ask these questions though as he does not really need to know. "Would you like to meet her, your majesty? The child will soon undergo the blood trial."

"I will meet her after the trial. I do not want to affect her in any way by visiting her before an important event."

"Understood, that is all I would like to say, your majesty."

Back to the Blood Island, the sun was setting. It was the time for Mu Yue to undergo the blood trial.

The woman first explained, "The structure at the middle of the lake is where the trial will happen. You will lay down on the middle which is the spot used my important children."

The woman guided Mu Yue to the structure. Mu Yue lay down to where she was told. Her entire body was soaked in the lake, only her head was above the red water.

"Do not worry about drowning as everyone who undergoes the trial will not move their bodies. Please relax and close your eyes. The trial will start shortly."

The water was not cold and Mu Yue felt comfortable being soaked in it. As she closes her eyes, it did not take too long before she dozes off to sleep.

The woman instructed some people to always guard Mu Yue's body. Being disturbed can be dangerous to the person undergoing the trial.

Mu Yue was currently in the middle of the forest. She remembers that she was laying down in the middle of the lake so it's impossible that she arrived here. She assumed that this was part of the trial although being moved here was also a possibility.

It was night and so she looked at the moon. Usually, it helps on calming her but what she saw was a red moon. Instead of being calm, she feels her blood boiling.

She then heard a voice in her head, "Kill everything in the area."

Mu Yue was startled. Was this how the trial will be carried? Good thing that she was already accustomed to killing because of Xiao Yan's lessons.

She instinctively knows which way the nearest target to kill is located. She frowned when she was feeling the excitement. She tried to calm herself down as emotions will likely affect her negatively. It was a tip her father gave her. "Keep your cool, be calm."

Breathing in and out, she calmed down and thought things through. Since she was tasked to kill, she will follow the teachings of her father. She figured that it would be the best way so she can save energy. She knows based on what she was currently feeling that there were a lot to kill.

Although despite calming down, a smile appears on her face, "Let the surroundings be dyed in blood."
