Darkness

"Irene, my daughter, when the time comes and you need to choose between being a vampire or human, choose whatever your heart says aloud" Mila's voice was heard by Irene in that dark unknown space.

"Mom..." Irene said as she tried to walk in that complete darkness.

As Irene was walking, she was suddenly dragged to a familiar place. It's the house she resided when her parents were still alive.

She went to the garden where her mom and dad usually stayed to relax. To her expectations, they were really there. Her mom who is tending on the garden's flowers and plants while her dad sipping a coffee.

"Mom... Dad..." when Irene called her parents, they immediately gave her a warm smile. The smiles that she missed so much gave warmth to her whole body that she run into them to give them a hug.

"Sweetie, what's the problem?" Leon, her father, asked while gently patting her head.

"N-Nothing..." Irene answered but her hug becomes tighter.

"I think you are hungry, my daughter. Want some choco crepe specially made by mom?" Mila asked and Irene felt that she smiled.

"Yeah... it will be great..." Irene replied with a cracked voice and finally she burst into tears.

"Oh! Why are our sweetie is crying? What made you sad?" Mila asked.

"N-Nothing... I am just happy that mom still remembers my favorite food" Irene said with a smile after she wiped her tears.

"Why would I forget my lovely daughter's favorite food?" Mila said as she handcupped her hands to Irene's cheek.

As time goes by, Irene felt that she does not want to return and stay in this small world where she can happily live with her parents, but...

"Mom... I'm sorry..." Irene suddenly said.

"What for?" Mila asked.

"I-I need to... leave..." Irene replied.

"Why...? Aren't you happy being here with us?" Leon asked while holding the hand of Irene.

"No... Not that--"

"Then, why?!" Mila's gentle voice suddenly turned enraged.

When Irene saw this, reality came back. As soon as she realized it, her mother and father turned into Phantoms.

"I got no choice..." Irene said and her sharp eyes looked at the two enemies in front of her and launched an attack.

After she defeated the two Phantoms, she suddenly got shivers as she is still staying in this illusion. When she last experienced this and defeated the Phantom, she immediately came back in reality, but this time something is strange.

"Long time no see, my precious creation!"

When Irene heard the creepy voice behind her she turned her head and was to attack, but before she could, the creature in a form of a human slash his sword in his eyes and she felt an immense pain.

"Damn you, demon!" Irene blurted out as she hold her bleeding eyes. She shouted in pain until she faints.

Meanwhile, the three men waiting for Irene's fate suddenly got anxious when the dark energy is starting to move. Their worries grew as they see the strange movements of the dark energy, it's not forming into a human form, it's an angel!

"Lucifer!" Vladimir said with hatred in his voice as he saw the devil.

"Calm down, Vladimir. I'm just here to deliver your wife" Lucifer said and smirked.

He violently pulled someone in the dark energy where he came out, it was Irene in a terrible condition that made the three men got furious.

"She is stubborn as always, so I punished her a little" Lucifer said as he wickedly laugh and disappeared.

"Damn it! I failed to protect her again!" Night said that made a throb in tge heart of Vladimir as he is the same as him.

"Irene!" Luke said as he saw Irene slowly opened her eyelids.

"Uncle... it' dark..." Irene said and his uncle just hugged her.

"That... damn devil! I will annihiliate his entire legion and all his creatures! All of of them! Damn him!" Irene hystetically said with deep hatred in her voice and face. She let out Eclipse and started to walk and look for the devil.

Vladimir stopped her by grabbing her arm.

"How could you kill him if you are in this condition?" Vladimir asked while his drooped head.

"Vampires are creatures of that devil, right? I'll kill you if you don't tell me how to cure this damn injury he inficted on me" Irene said as she surround 'Eclipse' in Vladimir's neck again.

"There's a way, but it's impossible" Vladimir said.

"How can you say it's impossible?" Irene asked.

"You need the blood of the first Queen of Vampires, Luna" Night said.

"Why a disgusting blood?!" Irene said.

"Luna is favored by God, giving her the ability to cure any disease or injury caused by any demons" Night replied.

"How can I resurrect that beloved wife of yours?" Irene asked.

"I waited for her to reincarnate for over a millenium now, but she never appeared" Vladimir said with a hint of sadness in his voice.

"Reincarnation?" Irene asked.

"Yes. If a vampire lives with only good deeds and intentions in this world, God will give him/her an ability to reincarnate with memories of his/her past, but he/she will stay as vampire and live for a maximum of 100 years" Vladimir explained.

"Tch. What a privilege you guys have" Irene irritatedly said.

"But Lucifer... the devil who inflicted an injury to you said that Irene is your wife! Maybe--" Night was not able to continue because 'Eclipse' came to his direction. Luckily, he was able to dodged it.

"If I am really Luna's reincarnation, then, based on the ability given by God to vampires, I should be a vampire, but I am not" Irene said and got worried as she does not want to become disabled for she enjoy being a vampire slayer.

"Irene, if you want we can come to Simon..." Luke suggested but Irene's face became gloomy.

"Are you kidding me? Over my dead body!" Irene angrily said.

"But he is the most capable healer in the entire world for vampire slayers like us for he is a descendant of Adam and Eve, he can definitely help you in your condition..."

"I don't want to!" Irene screamed.

"Do you want to become blind for you entire life?!" Luke asked in frustration.

"No...but not him, just not him... I am afraid of him..." Irene said with her head drooped.
