13 Shadow Elementalists

At the same time, in front of the entrance of a mansion, a shadow emerged.

Revealing a man and a young boy as the shadow disappeared into the darkness of the night, they were both dressed in full-body black suits with black masks covering half of their upper faces.

"Why did you come to a halt First?" The man with black hair and hazel eyes was questioned by the blonde-haired boy.

"I sense someone in the shadows defending this house, young master" First answered the boy. 

As soon as First finished speaking, the two noticed a large shadow approaching them with a fast speed, trying to harm them. First used his shadow to stop it.

A teenage looking boy could be seen coming out from the shadow where the big shadow came from before. He has jet black hair with black eyes wearing all black clothing. 

The black-haired boy stared at the two who tried to intrude the house.

His low tone dark voice could be heard asking "What are you attempting to do here?"

"Well, that was unexpected" First said to the blonde-haired boy, not answering the question of the boy in front of them.

First used his shadow element to wrap the blonde-haired boy and him again. They bypass the black-haired boy and he positions the blonde boy behind him. As though he were a shield between two boys.

Shadow tried to stop them but his element was unexpectedly overpowered by the man.

The black-haired boy's expression changed into a very cold one, and he attempted to utilize his shadow element to get around them but was halted by the man's shadow.

After looking at the boy trying to bypass them, First turned to face the blonde-haired boy behind him. 

"This person was not in the original plan," he said again to the boy bowing slightly "I will take over this young master, please proceed with your mission."

The blonde-haired boy nodded and began walking into the yard.

Shadow used his shadow element to stop the boy from entering the house but was again stopped by the man. 

He became enraged. He should not have appeared in front of them and should instead have remained in shadow form, shielding the entire mansion. 

Shadow immediately regretted it. But he believes that the man in front of him who is also a shadow elementalist will try to do anything to enter.

"You won't be able to pass until the young master completes his mission, boy," the man said to the black-haired boy.

"What mission?" the boy said, gazing down with a stare that could rip a hole through him.

"Aren't you a stubborn one? Shadow elementalists are uncommon, and your power is already great at such a young age. You should have joined us" the man cocked his head, a grin on his face.

The youngster became enraged and exclaimed, "What is the mission!"

"Ella? Ella--Ella Lumino! Young master's mission" the man laughs while saying it.

As soon as the boy heard what the man had just started, he began to release his killing instinct. He divided the shadow into numerous small sharp pieces and shot them all at once, but the man's shadow barrier stopped him.

He increases the number of shadow fragments aimed toward the man. Three pieces eventually broke through the barrier. Two were stopped by the man, but one shadow faintly brushed against the man's arm.

"Not bad," remarked the man.

"May I know who I'm fighting?" he asked with a grin.

"By the way, I'm first"

"First?" the boy inquired. He realized what the man meant after that.

"Shadow" he muttered as he glanced at First.

First's lip curls up into a smile hearing the boy's name. 

He thought that this boy's name suits his personality pretty much. 

This is his first time seeing and fighting against another shadow elementalist on his mission, it's a shame that he's the enemy. He would be happy to have him by his side.

"Let's see what you have got." 

The shadow beneath him started to spread trying to reach Shadow's legs. 

The boy immediately notices what First is trying to do and starts to spread his own against the man, not giving him a chance to take over his space. He went into his own shadow thinking of a plan. 

He started to move in it, trying to avoid the man's shadow, going to the back of the house to go in and stop the blonde-haired boy who went in. He couldn't care about fighting with First, it's more important to protect Ella. 

He finally found an opening, Shadow tries to rush in as fast as he can. Before he manages to enter, an unfamiliar shadow appears in front of him stopping him from going inside. It was First's. 

Sensing it, Shadow rushed back to the front, left, right, and even top to bottom, he was followed by First in every move. It makes him realize that he needs to take care of the man first no matter what, or not he can't get in. 

His body came outback from the shadow, First appeared right in front of him as if he knew the boy would come out.

"Care for a fight?" First's voice sounds like he was having so much fun making Shadow's anger rise more. 

He gritted his teeth and said with empty eyes "Let me guide you to hell with it."
