4 Seven Years Later

Seven years have passed since then, the DNA test run by James came out with a negative percentage of the dead man being related to their daughter, Ella Lumino aka Luna. 

To this day, every outsider knew Ella as their daughter. It was plotted perfectly by Anna who wanted to register Ella as her real daughter. 

Staying in the house for a year while releasing the news that she was pregnant, she hid herself and Ella away from outsiders. Due to that, Ella's age on legal papers was one year younger than what she really was.

People would be envious of her if they were to find out that Ella was not their real daughter. Ella was the subject of the foreign media since the Lumino family become worldwide famous during these years.

The most dangerous fact that can reveal all of the plots set up by Anna was the crest of her daughter. Since they were not blood-related, the shape of the crest was totally different. What was worse was, it was on her forehead. 

A white crescent moon crest, with the ability to change her waist-long hair which was jet black into snow-white color. Anna always helped Ella to cut her bangs in order to hide it. 

Ella didn't like to use her crest because her skin was as pale as snow. Using it can make her melt into the white walls if she were to wear all white.

With her eyes being red, Anna often told her that she looks like a bunny.

James had been successful in doing business with his company, Fable but the fame grew with the finding of a place full of mana stones and others. It was found by the use of the square-shaped stone that he found on the dead man who brought Ella to them.

That was partly one of his reasons which regarded their daughter as a gift from god.

By imbuing mana into the stone, a portal would appear, beyond it, is a place that didn't exist in their world. 

After failing to open it for not more than some seconds for two times, he finally figured out how to make them last longer. It succeeded just with one try.

The stone slowly depleted with each usage.

There were already six portals opened, one in each country. 

The seventh one will be the last one and James already planned to open it in his county. 

He often said to his daughter that these portals will be known in the world as 'The Seven Great Fables', named after the company soon.

Workers who have gotten beyond the portals claimed that it's a world of nature and there hasn't been any danger spotted inside it. Despite this, Fable erected safety barriers around the area to ensure the safety of the workers doing their duties of mining. 

Fable will shortly provide a vacation resort in it after confirming and setting safety precautions.

James constructed a mana stone boundary which was providing the portals with a constant flow of mana around the portals with the blueprint he had drawn to prevent it from vanishing. 

All the portals were not available to the public. Fable's temporary office was built surrounding it. Only the employees of Fable were allowed to enter. 

The security measure of the office was also high enough that even rank B elementalists can't pass through easily.

Nowadays, there were rarely elementalists who had not been ranked on their elemental strength. The technology to rank their elemental power, EPR, was developed by Eve, a technology business company, it was at a level higher than Fable in the business world before the project of portals.

Ever since the EPR was developed, it had become fashionable to rank their abilities and compare them to one another.

The technology can measure F as the weakest and SSS as the strongest, but no one has achieved SSS rank nor SS. The strength of the world's strongest elementalists would range from B to S. Some of the chemical weapons like Nuclear are even more powerful than elementalist's power.

Fable purchased some ranking machines to use in the company.

James received an S for his lighting elemental strength, whereas Anna received an A for her wind elemental strength.

Ella elemental compatibility had yet to be officially determined since one's compatibility became stable starting from age of eight that's what they believed though. And the creation of the elemental core.

Ella had been secretly testing her compatibility through the elemental stones displayed as decorations at home. 

She discovered what element compatible with her and now, keeping a secret from her parents to surprise them on her seventh birthday, sixth on paper.

"Luna" Ella mumbled with a smile on her face as she thought of her nickname given by Anna.
