7 Obedient Husband

Anna told Ella a nighttime story and tucked her in her blanket as the night fell. She dialed a phone number right after closing the bedroom door of Ella's room.

The call was picked up after around three seconds of dialing. The voice of an energetic man came out from the other side.

"Honey! Are you starting to miss me now?" the man on the other end of the line asked Anna with a big grin on his face.

"Why would I miss a man who loves his work over his wife?" The man, James Lumino, was saddened by Anna's calm sneer.

"I don't! I'm only making money for you...for you and for our Luna to spend!" James carefully chose his words in an attempt to make himself a decent husband.

"We already have enough money to live happily ever after without working," she answered him with the truth.

Are all businessmen like this? Finding more and more even though their wealth was enough to live and spend during their whole life. Anna sighed and did her little trick.

"Honey, if you don't return home by Monday, you'll find a divorce notice in your office," She told him gently and then hung up.

The man couldn't say anything.

He must listen to his wife's comments or else things would get out of hand, as his wife's quiet remarks are far scarier than someone shouting frantically like some other people's wife.

His wife was surely different from them, his business partners would joke about what present they would give to their wife and their fight was over.

'Women, they really are terrifying,' he thought to himself as he considered his wife and his late mother.

He slid his phone back into his suit pocket and dialed number one on his workplace phone which is on his work table.

"Yes, Mr. Lumino?" The phone was answered right away by a young man's voice.

"Secretary Ryan, please book a flight home on Sunday."

"But, sir, Mr. Lumino, you have an important meeting with Owl on Monday morning?" Ryan expressed his disbelief in what his boss had just said.

In the business world, Owl stood in the same league as Fable. They were meant to meet to discuss how 'The Great Seven Fables' will be made available to the public in the future, as well as the mana stone market and other topics. It will be a crucial meeting since it will have a significant influence.

However, his boss just asked him to cancel a meeting to go home? The secretary was taken aback.

"Family comes first," James answered with a giggle.

"Understood sir" Ryan replied on the phone line while his head subconsciously nodded.

The call ended after his reply. He thought to himself that his workaholic boss has finally remembered that he has a family after not visiting home for months.

---

Weekends have always been the most crowded days at airports. People who were busy catching taxis or were waiting for anyone to come and pick them up, some people were getting ready to travel, and a variety of other people, they were all in front of the airport entrance.

In the midst of the busy atmosphere, a sleek black Rolls Royce came to a halt. The aura of expensiveness emitted by the car made people who were minding their own business began to look at it. They were all curious as to who would be getting off from it.

The suicide door opened from the car, a handsome man who seemed to be in his late thirties, dressed in a black turtleneck with a gray jacket and pants followed by a black loafer could be seen.

He has black hair that was flawlessly styled back and blue eyes that appear to have an ocean in them. He exited the vehicle and walked to the entrance of the airport gracefully.

From the opposite door, a man in his late twenties followed him out. He's dressed in a royal blue suit with a black tie and a derby. In his hands, he had two briefcases. He followed the dashing gentleman who was the first to exit.

When people realized who they were, everyone in front of the airport was surprised. The two were the CEO and secretary of one of the most famous companies, Fable.

The two arrived at the airport gate after they got through security procedures.

"Ladies and gentlemen, good evening. This is the flight 89B pre-boarding announcement. Please bring your boarding pass and identification with you. In roughly three minutes, regular boarding will commence. Thank you for flying with us." A clear voice of a woman made an announcement.

"Mr. Lumino, here sir" Ryan passed the boarding pass to James.

"Thanks, shall we proceed?" James said as he picked up his briefcase that Ryan put it on the chair a while ago to wait for the announcement and he walked towards the plane's entrance.

Ryan, as usual, trailed behind his boss.

James always took Ryan with him when he had to ride a plane since the element he has been processing since childhood being the lightning elemental and his crest power cannot assist him to fly.

Ryan as the wind elementalist can assist him if anything happens in the air. He trusted him for his abilities.

Even though he has enough money to purchase his own jet, he has yet to do it because he was accustomed to flying on public planes.

And everyone knows that the parking fee for a personal jet is expensive. He can even buy a house with it instead of buying and parking a jet for a year. Right?

They were escorted to first class as soon as they boarded the plane. Each taking their seat, it was next to one other. Food and drinks were served a short time after the plane took off.
