11 Ganging up

Anna was going through a website to buy new clothes for Ella. Adding almost all the items she sees on the website called Genie.

While she was about to ignore the notification that appeared on the top of her screen since it was distracting her from choosing the outfits for Luna, still, she took a quick look at it.

She glances back at the clothes. Then it snapped. She clicked on the notification faster than any limited edition sales she has brought before.

'Tragic Death of the owner of Fable?

Ten minutes ago

Flight 89-B which was carrying the owner of Fable and many other passengers exploded. There seem to be survivors but the CEO is still not found…'

Anna was taken aback that she couldn't continue reading. 

She is adamant about not believing it. Secretary Ryan is also a ranked A wind elementalist like her, so she convinced herself that he would be ok. They're going to be okay. 

She switches on the television. Switching one channel from another, she could see every channel broadcasted breaking news of the explosion as she changed one from another. 

She decided that she would check things out and went into Ella's room, knelt near her bed and rouse her up. 

Ella was startled by her mother because she had only recently fallen asleep.

Anna held her hand and said "Luna, I need you to stay at home while I go and check on everything, okay?" As she spoke, her voice trembled. "I'll be back in the morning, so just sleep tight and don't worry too much if you don't see me in the morning."

Unlike other wealthy families, they did not employ maids or anyone to work since the information about Ella not being their real daughter would get out . 

Anna also likes to take care of her family herself. Except for one person, they don't invite anybody they don't trust into their home.

"I understand, Mum, go ahead and do what you need to do", Ella stated calmly, she has no idea why her mother is trembling, but she is determined to help her by listening to her every word.

Anna stood up and started walking to the door. "Love you, Luna," she whispered as she closed the door.

Anna immediately put on a coat, grabbed her phone and credit card, and then the car key on her way downstairs. 

She exited the house through the front door and locked it. She said into the thin air after taking a few steps away from the house.

"Shadow, protect her while I'm gone."

At the end of her voice, the shadow beneath her feet rose and started to form a boy figure in front of her.

Shadow is the name of the boy, he has black eyes and jet black hair just like Ella. He is a kid Anna saved even before Ella arrived. 

Like his name, he is a shadow elementalist. 

Shadow elementalists are rare and useful elementalist. People can't even notice if they're here or not since they can hide in the shadows. 

Shadow has been working under Anna ever since the time she saved him from an auction house. He is seventeen this year but his elemental rank is already at A.

"Yes, master," He replied while bowing to Anna. He calls her with respect because Anna was his teacher.

Anna hugged the boy before leaving and said "Stay safe, something is up."

As she left, Shadow faded into the shadow.

It's late at night, even though there are numerous vehicles on the main road, only one car could be seen on a clean overpass driveway. It was Anna's. 

Driving an SSC Tuatara at her top speed on her way to the airport. She kept calling her husband's and Ryan's phones along the way, but both were out of service. She started to feel sophisticated due to being worried and frustrated.

After driving for some time, she suddenly sensed something, following her. She looked in every mirror of the car but couldn't find what was following her. 

Before she could use her wind element to check, she noticed a massive piece of stone fall from the sky onto the road she was driving on, out of thin air.

Anna couldn't stop the car since it was moving too fast, so she utilized her wind to stop the car. 

Luckly, it worked just before she almost hit it. 

She got out of the car with her phone since she knew that large stone wouldn't appear out of nowhere unless it was from an elementalist, and she couldn't get away staying in that car if something went wrong.

While searching for the person who had dropped the stone with her wind, she became wary. 

How come she couldn't sense anything nor anyone near her? It's pretty strange. She clearly sensed it while she was driving but couldn't now? 

The road feels silent with no cars passing through. Even though there were cars going beneath the overpass road, nobody would notice if something happened on the road above them unless it's very loud.

In the midst of silence, a playful man's voice came from every direction, "That wasn't fun."

Anna tries to locate where the voice was from but she couldn't. It feels like there's a power protecting the person's whereabouts. 

As if the power slowly disappeared she could finally sense where the voice had come from. 

She could see four men appearing out of thin air. They were all dressed in unison black body suits and masks which covered half of their faces.
