6 A Week Before Birthday

Ella's seventh birthday will be coming up in a week. 

Although it's her sixth birthday on paper, it will be okay to light seven candles because she will only be celebrating with my mother. Father had never been with her and mum on her previous birthdays due to the matters at Fable.

'Maybe this year, he will be with us. I hope?' Ella thought.

As soon as she finished the whole plate of sashimi,  she went to put the plate and the chopsticks in the sink.

Anna spoiled her a lot, she didn't even let her daughter try washing the plates. 

She was tall enough already for this kitchen.

As usual, she went back to her seat. 

Anna started washing the dishes that she and Ella ate together. She likes to wash with her own hands rather than using the power of the element.

While washing, Anna turns to Ella to say, "It's your birthday next week, Luna, so please let me know if there's anything specific you'd like as a present before then, okay?"

"It's okay, mum," she responded, "You've already gotten me so many things, even though it's not my birthday." 

Ever since Anna picked her up, she has been infatuated with child items and would always tell her that she had been happy ever since Ella entered her life.

Even though she had been in great health, she didn't get pregnant till now. Father was also in great health and as a kid, she didn't quite understand how babies were made but the doctor said if both parents were healthy they would get one? Ella got into her train of thoughts. 

Cough

Anna approached with her worried eyes, unsure of what caused her daughter's cough.

"Is everything okay with you, Luna? Are you feeling sick? Are you hurt anywhere?" she bombarded her with all her questions. 

She became like that just by hearing a cough. How worried she would be if Ella was to get hurt? She should take care of herself. Ella decided not to make Anna worried in the future.

"I'm ok mum, it's just some dust that got into my nose, I'm sorry I made you worry," she tried to reassure her mother.

"Dust? Oh! I haven't been able to clean my house properly since I was too busy ordering items online. Just wait, I'll clean it right now!" 

'Here comes mum's perfect housewife elementalist show' Ella said it in her mind as she knew what was about to happen.

"Cleaning Wind!" Anna murmured with a smile on her lips. 

Instantly, the constant wind within the home began to move, it carried all of the dust in the whole house to the plants in the garden.

Without a doubt, she has been an odd mum. While people on television were trying to conjure up powerful spells, she had been cleaning the house and doing other things with her element.

"How's it?" Anna asked her with her puppy eyes, eager to be praised.

Ella clapped and told her what she wanted, "Awesome mom!" with a big smile. 

Her mother's happiness was also hers. 

Mother's element made Ella feel safe and not lonely staying in this big mansion with only little people.

On her birthday, she can't wait to inform them about her compatibility. 

'But isn't my birthday always celebrated with my mum? I don't want to tell them one at a time.' It worried her.

"Mum?" she called, her red rabbit eyes met Anna's red eyes. Those eyes are one of the reasons people didn't doubt their relationship.

"Yes, Luna?" Anna replied.

"Can we... Can we ask dad to come back on my birthday? I have something to show you two...um... ah! Yes, a surprise!" she stuttered while saying it.

Anna was surprised by it. Ella, who has never requested anything for her birthday because she was always surrounded by everything she needed and she didn't like making it hard for them, has finally requested something for her birthday. 

Anna grinned and went to hug her daughter before she lifted Ella to whirl her around, "Of course if that's what my Luna rabbit wants."

"I'll make sure that busy guy returns before your birthday!" Anna smirked at her own words.
