1 P R O L O G U E
I ran fast when when I felt the presence of who ever was following me come closer. I tried not to mind the way my heart was beating fast and loud because I know it would only make me weak.
Weaker.
I continued to run even though my head's getting a bit dizzy due to fatigue. I can't see anything clear, all I see is a dark forest ahead of me with my eyes covered in tears.
Oh how many times have I wished for this day not to come but it seems like even fate is not with me.
Small twigs on the ground only made it harder for me to run, it feels like they don't want me to leave either. I feel so tired. Every breath I take feels like it's going to be the last..
But it can't be. I can't quit.
Not now.
"Ah!" I cried quietly when my leg got a cut by a sharp branch! I shook my head when I saw golden blood rushing down my leg due to the wound.
No... No! No! This can't be!!
"Haa.. Ha.."
I pushed my self to sit down and put both of my hands on top of my wound. Please... Just this once... Please work...
I closed my eyes when I felt nothing more than what I expected. I heard how small twigs cracked when people suddenly surrounded me. They slowed down..
They're all around me... There's no where to hide now.
Even if I knew nothing's going to happen, I continued to force my self to let my power working using the last bit of my strength but I failed.
Like I always did.
I heard their footsteps that only made my heart pound more. I rested my hand on my wound, trying all my best to cover it. I took a deep breath and let myself look up, facing the person that collected enough self confidence to face me.
I smiled at him even though even my gums hurt from doing it. He smirked when he saw me smile. He then raised his arm towards my direction and I felt my self float slowly.
Air started to feel like it's becoming more thin every minute that passes, or maybe that was just me.
"AAAAHHH!!" I screamed loud when he slowly closed his hand, making almost all of my bones crack!
My head automatically lowered when he loosened his hold of me, heck, he's not even holding me! He's controlling me over thin air! Tears fell down from my face then to the ground.
I heard him laugh quietly... until he laughed so loud that only made him prove how much of a maniac he was.
"Is this it?" He asked. "Is this the person given with the 'almighty power'? Are you sure? This is nothing compared to what I imagined." He said as he forced himself not to laugh while trying to deliver his sentence. I swear, I can shred you to pieces...
If only I wasn't this distracted.
All of his goons laughed loud because of what he said. Then he walked towards me while I was still above ground and with one finger pointed at me, it forced me to look up and stare at his eyes.
He got his demonic smile across his face.. making me think that he really is a monster. I can still feel my tears wanting to go down my cheeks but I forced myself to look though, look like nothing bothered me.
Like I was lifeless.
"You are one tough girl to kill, aren't you?"
Paaakkkkkk!!!!
His slap made me fall onto my knees and cough blood. I closed my eyes when I felt that I am close to losing everything.
'I'm going to die here.' I said to myself. I cried harder when I remembered what I did.
Wait.. I didn't even do anything.
That's what's wrong.
I didn't do anything. I just watched.. like I didn't care at all..
I just watched when my family was getting slaughtered by wolves.
I just watched when my town was burned down.
I just watched when my best friend turned into this.
A monster.
Am I really the chosen one? Am I really the one destined to save the world or am I the one that's going to destroy it?
I froze when I heard something. Such a familiar voice. All I knew is that my eyes were filled with darkness but I can still see what I was doing. I felt the familiar feeling of my eyes glowing bright but I can't move.
One thing crossed my mind before I stood up, not knowing who controls my body now.
"Come back to me."
