4 Chapter 3: The Station

I clicked my tongue and stood straight. I'm done being a bitch for a day. I'm a bit satisfied too. I moved back and looked at Alvin who does not look like he was feeling the same way I was about the situation. He even held my arm tight before whispering, "Dude are you crazy?! What do you think you're doing??"

I removed my arm from his hold and gestured him to calm down. "I just checked something." I said as I shrugged. I looked at Ka Illo and the question I had earlier popped again.

"Ah! Right, what was the reason he's here?"

I couldn't think of a fine reason to why this Devinille is inside an invisible cage. First, Devinille's are strong and mighty. I might say that some of them are full of themselves too. Second, they have a very high place at the second empire. Lucious Devinille, his dad, is one of the three kings of the second empire where they belong. They basically have all they need on the second empire, what could possibly attract a Devinille to make him go as far as another empire?

"This kid tried to steal a necklace from Lady Light." My eyes grew wide at what he said. I was shocked, that wasn't really the answer I was expecting. I turned to look at the Devinille before speaking.

"Woah, you're brave enough to do that?" I said, feeling proud of what he did. I laughed a bit when I felt Alvin pinched me on the side. I looked at him innocently before smiling.

"What? I was just asking."

"We're going to let him go, we just waited for your arrival."

My eyes were wide as I looked at Ka Illo.

"WHAT?! Then why'd you even put him here in the first place?!"

All the fun I had from annoying this Devinille vanished through thin air. I had a pout on while looking at Ka Illo explain.

"First of All, he is a Devinille. His family will come look for him and if they found out we held him here, there can be a lot of explaining to do. Second, nothing bad happened, especially to Lady Light."

I blew air in my cheeks and hold it in for a few seconds while I try to understand what Ka Illo just said. I loudly blew the air out once I thought i was done emoting.

I stood up before bowing a bit to Ka Illo as good bye. In a blink of an eye, I grabbed Alvin's hand and took off running while I was holding him. We were so close to the entrance when I bumped on an invisible wall.

"Ah!" That hurt! Alvin didn't got hurt because I was in front of him so I was the only one to take the impact.

"Not so fast, Andy. We need you guys to escort him back."

"What?!" I snapped.

"I already said it, Andy. You need to make sure he is home safe. Lord Devinille isn't that much of an understanding man."

Did I just hear it right?! I can't even sleep for 3 hours, can't I?! I groaned inwardly due to frustration. He lives in the second empire. The Second Empire! That's atleast two months of travelling, even for me!

"Ka Illo, we're in the fourth empire now. Are you seriously saying that we will travel across the whole three empires just to bring him back to his dad?" My eyes sharply looked onto the devil- I mean the Devinille because I can no longer control my emotions. "What are you? Three?"

"You've got no choice. You need to escort him back safely."

I just groaned loudly before turning my head towards Alvin. "South, 20 minutes." I said before running fast.

My long brown hair got blown away when it faced the wind. I am sure that there are very small twigs or sticks in my hair due to my fast movement.

I still couldn't believe how Ka Illo make it seem so easy to boss me around. Maybe due to my respect to him? I mean he is my best friend's dad.

I also couldn't believe the fact that I have to travel across the whole three empires just to bring back a prince that ran away from his dad. I mean, I could have said no. But there's really something annoying in me that kicked in and didn't say a thing about it.

I stopped running meters away from my tree house. I looked at it while listening to any foreign movements and changes from the wind before I finally walked towards it.

When I opened the door I quickly closed it went down. I thought about laying down on my bed for a bit but an image of Alvin waiting with the Devinille kid on the South stopped me from lounging around. Instead, I walked towards my bookshelf and grabbed my book.

It has a brown leather cover and most of it's pages smells like coffee due to me spilling it when I was writing on it. It has a lock on the side and since I forgot where I put my key I just opened it forcefully. This book has a square whole inside with the borders still intact so that it'll look like a normal book but it's actually a small bank where i put my money in.

There's a bunch of letters that I wrote for myself, most of it was just random thoughts I thought about when I couldn't sleep. There is one letter here that I know means a lot to me but I'm actually not in the greatest mood of trying to find where it is so I just closed the book and went outside.

I didn't prepare clothes or food, I'll just buy them at the South. They have a lot of stalls there. I just walked to get there since I was too tired to run. Hello? I had a vampire encounter and I haven't had any sleep last night so I guess I have the right to feel tired.

There were a lot of things that crossed my mind while walking. We're on the fourth empire, and the only passage to get to the second empire is through the first. So we basically have to go from here, SOUTH OF THE FOURTH EMPIRE, to the third, the first then finally, to the second.

It's going to take at least three months to get through all the empires. And not to mention I am still on the run from vampires and warewolves. Alvin is also a problem, for sure he's going to be more annoying since we're going to be stuck together.

And him. Isaac Scott Devinille. There's something in him that I just can't seem to find and say what it is.

I sighed before I continued walking. A few minutes later and I was now standing in front of the tall gates of the South.

Do I really have to do this? I won't gain anything from doing this and I'll just put myself and Alvin in danger.

So why am I doing this?

I just continued walking til I saw those two goons standing beside the wall and on top of them says the words written in platinum,

The South Train Station.
