Leaving with a Smile

One month went by in a flash and now I have two days until I board a plane and leave this horrible house. My father has been sending me books on different subjects to study, I'm guessing this his way of being a father before I leave. Lily gives me an evil glare every time I pass her but she hasn't tried to stop me from leaving or tag along. I sit in my room and look at the books about fashion design when I hear a knock on my door. When I look to see who entered I was shocked to see Li Yu Mei, the lady who the original host was never fond because of the events of the past.

"Sara, could we talk?" Li Yu Mei asked while standing at the door.

I gave her a smile and motion to the in-room sofa, "What do you want?" I asked giving her a smile.

Li Yu Mei sat down and gave me a serious look, "Sara, you'll be leaving in two days and I wanted to give you some advice. There will be no one you know when you go abroad and I just wanted to let you know when you are in real trouble, you can always come back home." She said with a warm smile.

I gave her a smile, "Don't worry, I have everything planned out and I find out that if I have any struggles will just be the thing for me to succeed." With that said I stood in hopes to end this conversation.

Li Yu Mei getting the feeling Sara wanted to stop talking got up and walked to the door. Before she left she turned, "Sara, I know we where never close but I hope you enjoy your time abroad and become the best in your field." She said giving me a smile and leaving the room.

When she left I frowned at the door, 'If you really cared you would have acted like a mother figure instead of an evil stepmother in fairy tales.' I thought while sitting back on the sofa.
