1 FINDING OUT

Lia was crying her eyes out, leaning by the wall of their bathroom under the open shower. Her legs pulled close to her bare chest as she circled her hands around it and digging her head into the small gap in between. The bathroom filled with sobs and screams as she tried to get hold of herself. She was hurt, beyond words could ever comprehend. Her man, the one who was supposed to protect her, the one who had to make her smile, he left her like a joke. Lia was orphaned, in all senses with a life in her stomach and a tangled messy mind.

"Open the door right now!" She heard the shout once again.

She was determined to not face him again, she wanted to end her life but she is too weak to do that by herself. She had a life to take care of, a pack to lead as per her father's request. Everyone believed in her, they trust their lives with her not knowing how weak she is.

"All right, stay inside forever. I will make sure every single wolf here in our realm would forget your existence." He growled but Lia could see the evil grin in his face even from inside.

"Noooo, don't do that. You can't cast the spell on them." Lia ran out of the bathroom, still wet and cold.

He was not there in the room, the door was locked and she couldn't smell him. He easily ended their ten years of their love life with just a word, not even considering the fact that she was carrying. His eyes had no love, no mercy, no sympathy, nothing that she ever saw in his eyes before. It was just rage, jealousy, greed and pride for his position and the plans for higher future.

"I am not letting you do that Oliver. You are not going to be the Alpha of our pack unless I marry you and I would never ever do that mistake." Lia hissed before running to the assembly room.

Lia was now standing in front of the whole court members, hands tied at her back and a sword pointed at her neck. Things changed upside down in an hour causing her to change from the victim to the accused. The tables have changed in his favour and he was always good at it. He was good at deceiving people with his iconic innocent smile and big doe eyes which hid the darkness he beheld.

"Prove your innocence." The King commanded.

"Father, I don't even know what I am accused off." Lia breathed out while struggling to break the handcuff.

"Prove it now or be ready to die." The King said again while jumping up from his throne.

"What did I do? I haven't done anything. It was him, it was Oliver who cheated on me with Sarah."

"How dare you claim such nonsense on your Alpha? Was that how you were raised?" The man asked with a stern face and voice echoing throughout the large hall.

"Why don't you believe me? You are going to regret this, father. Oliver is a traitor, a scumbag and he deserves to be banished from our kingdom." She cried aloud while pulling her hands vigorously to get rid off the metal ring.

"Lia, I never did anything which could harm our realm. I didn't obey you this one time, that is true but if I had listened to you, then the whole pack would have burned." Oliver stated with a sad face.

"What act are you putting up now?" Lia frowned not understanding his next step.

"Lia Flores, did you ask Oliver to cast the forbidden spell on our pack? The answer should be either yes or no but I want it to be the truth." The man growled as he glared at her with his orange eyes, ready to spit fire.

"Father, I would never do that to our people. I am their Luna and I pledged to keep them safe even if it means, giving up on my life."

"Lia, please don't lie to him. It is okay, we would consider this as one of your mistakes, a slip of your tongue but be honest to our father." Oliver was persuading everyone in the court.

"Bastard, stop playing mind games and admit what you really are." Lia spit at his face making everyone in the court gasp.

"Lia Flores, you have crossed your line now. You disgraced the future Alpha in front of me with your cheap act. Now I can presume how disgusting you were with Oliver all along."

"You are not going to accuse me of something I didn't do just by listening to his hollow words." Lia threatened her father not knowing what else to do.

"Lia, calm down." Her mother spoke finally noticing where the conversation was heading to.

"Today, in front of all the important people of our pack... in front of the whole representatives, I hereby announce Oliver Cannon as the Alpha of our pack. The ceremony will soon be conducted as per the rules and rituals in the Moon Temple." Gravin Flores, the King and current Alpha of the pack announced while walking down the steps.

"NO! I won't allow this. He will kill our entire pack just for power and fame. I am the Luna and I am supposed to choose my man, the Alpha for our pack. You can't force this on me."

"Lock her in the temple cell and keep guards." Gravin ordered as he walked away from the court, not sparing a single glance at his daughter.

"Mother, stop him from doing this. This is going to be the end of our pack, a pathetic end to our hierarchy and will defame all our past achievements. He deserves to be in the hell." Lia kept shouting and crying but one by one, everyone left the court.

"Have fun, my Luna." Oliver smirked at her before exiting the court, pride plastered on his evil face.

"You won't get away with this! I will come for you!" She screamed but fell down as soon as pain started crawling inside her.

"What happened?" A guard asked watching her groan in pain.

"When was the last full moon?" She breathed out trying to control the pain which was paralyzing her.

"Twenty days ago." The man said after hesitating for a minute.

Forty days more, and she will bring her children to the world, the children who has the traitor's blood in them. The future of the Flores, was growing in her and she had no idea whether they would be a boon or a doom.
