28 Slave Ring

In the middle of the city, two people can be seen exchanging blows with each other while wails resound from their surroundings.

One of the people who is fighting right now is an old man with a tough and robust body while the other is a little boy who hasn't even reach puberty yet. If it's a normal circumstance, those who saw the old man punching the little boy with all of his might will diss him for bullying child, yet it's by no means a normal circumstance at all because…it's the old man who got bullied by the little boy.

The old man — Tharen once again got slashed by the little boy — Jack while they're fighting. From the start of their battle, Tharen has always entered defensive stances, and while he did occasionally attack Jack, his attack always proves futile as it's always perfectly blocked by Jack with his giant scissors.

And every time Tharen got injured, Villia will always be there to offer some support to him.

The battle went on for a while without any victor in sight. Villia easily analyzes Jack who has entered her line of sight, and once she's done, she confirmed that Jack is only a little bit stronger than the normal Tharen.

Normally, Tharen should be able to fight equally with him even if he's a little bit weaker than his opponent. Even so, because of the plague, the best he can use right now is only up to 70 % of his real strength. It can be said that he's heavily disadvantaged in this fight.

Time to reattach the body parts of Charlison and his team, time to wait for the three stupid reinforcement that is coming toward this place with the same mind like Tharen, and time for her to cure Tharen body so he can fight with all of his strength.

Villia has successfully evacuated the four members of Freedom and take all of their severed limbs while Tharen took Jack attention. Right now, her main priority is to stop their bleeding by connecting their severed limbs. If it's any other priest or doctor, reconnecting a severed hand or foot might be a problem as only a Saints can do that sort of things, even so, with the skill given by Goddess Lumina and Status Viewer, reconnecting a limb or two aren't a problem at all!

Charlison who lay on the ground can hazily see the battle between his father and Jack. Although he can't see much, he can easily deduce that his father is in no winning position against the child. His father can only hold on because of Sister Villia occasional support. Then, would they be able to win if she fully supports his father?

Charlison words got caught even before he can fully express it. After asking him to not to talk, Sister Villia didn't pay any attention to him anymore and continue to heal them. In fact, she hasn't even stop treating them when she supports Tharen!

Seeing that she ignore him, Charlison can't help but want to beg again, but before he can say a word, Villia starts to interject again.

"Don't worry, he wouldn't die. He's your father, have faith in him."

Charlison can only shut his mouth after hearing her response.

Since Charlison can still hold on for much longer than the other girls, Villia focuses on reattaching all of their limbs first. The three girls are still awake and know what is going on, even so, unlike Charlison, they didn't have enough strength to talk nor look around.

Reconnecting limb isn't an easy job, yet it's not that hard either. Villia took of one of her rings, and as if nothing is blocking it, Villia mana starts to flow freely and happily inside her body.

'Slave ring!? Why did she wear a slave ring!?'

Charlison who is still half awake can hazily see the shape of the ring which Villia took off from her finger. Even so, because it's a familiar ring inside Variesz city, although he can't see it clearly, he can easily deduce it by seeing it shape.

Slave ring. It's a ring used to bind a slave that haven't got a master. It's a ring that can reduce battle capabilities by more than half! No sane or free person will readily wear those ring! But then, why did Sister Villia wore it?

That's the only thing Charlison can think of as common sense told him that no one would want to wear that ring. It must be another ring with the same shape, and he just mistakes it for Slave ring. Charlison silently nods his head after he solves the question brilliantly.

Villia didn't know what Charlison think of, and even if she knows she will only shake her head a little because…what Charlison think of at first is true, yet he convinces himself that the answer is wrong which will even make Villia laugh for a while.

For other slave ring is a kind of restriction, and while Villia also thinks so, the difference of their thought is as vast as heaven and earth!

In the time less than five minutes, Villia has successfully reattached all of the girl limbs, before moving to the other girl and do the same thing.

Tharen and Jack are still fighting in stalemate with each other while all of this is happening. Tharen know that he didn't have any chances to beat Jack alone, and he also know that Jack is playing around with him, which let him choose to take a defensive stances to counter him.

Like before, Jack open his scissor and ready to cut him for which he will try to evade and counterattack, yet not long after Tharen dodge and ready to counter, Jack has long disappeared from his view and arrives near Villia who is in the middle of treating the girls with his giant scissor which has glow with green light.

Villia can also feel someone has arrived not far from her, and who that person is, is an unnecessary question because there's only one person who will do this kind of thing.

Light start to heal the wound of those inside the sanctuary, while darkness begin to fend off all the attack which will harm the sanctuary. Color start to return Charlison and his teammate face, while Villia turn into pale because of magic overuse.

The ground and sanctuary she builds shook as if an earthquake has come to attack it. Few cracks have appeared on the sanctuary, but it seems like it can still hold on as Jack has not utterly destroyed it.

Cold sweat drops from Villia head and like always, she felt really thankful that she has Status Viewer with her. To think that Jack will unleash such a power at her…and without mercy at that! Isn't sneak attack supposed to be weak but fast? So what is this super powerful sneak attack! If she didn't have Status Viewer she might lost her life already because she's underestimating her opponent!

"Hahaha…what is this? You are a nun yet you use darkness? Are you actually a fallen nun or something? Your defense is also super strong! You can actually defend it! And sisteeer….how do you reattach human limb…that's not the way a Saint use to reattach it right? Is it forbidden way? If so, can you teach me later?" Jack look curiously at Villia who is still pale after using a lot of mana. Even so, before he can say more, a fist has come to meet with his face.

Maybe because his last attack consumes a lot of energy, maybe because he underestimates Tharen, or maybe because he wants to get the feeling to fly and crash through a wall.
