Elemental Sisters

"You should not take your eyes off your enemy."

"Ice Shards!" Maku released projectiles of ice towards the woman who's been distracted by the unexpected defeat of her sister, Zeta. She immediately dodged the projectiles and recoiled a few steps behind and again watch her sister from afar. She tried to run to her but Maku blocked her way.

"Where do you think you're going?" Maku suddenly appeared from above her and land a blow right through her face that pushed her rolling on the ground. "Oops! How rude of me to smack a lady in the face?" He jokingly said which angered the woman.

Her name is Epsilon and the sole welder of the water element amongst the elemental sisters who possesses the power of solid, liquid and gas matter. She generates and manipulates water at will. She is also able to liquify herself and return to her natural human body any time she wants. She is the most affectionate among the three who loves her sisters dearly more than herself.

From where her body was lying due to the attack, she quickly disintegrate herself into liquid and hides herself under the cracks beneath the ground. With the disappearance of her body from the surface, Maku was cautious that she might emerged somewhere beneath him any time.

"Water Geyser!" An intermittent jets of heated water and steam appears below of Maku that forced him to fly into the air. He tried to shield himself from the impact but the shield made of ice melts with the extreme heat of the water being discharged turbulently.

"Aqua Stringshot!" Afterwards, series of water strings fly into the air and whip Maku one by one while he's being thrown into the air that strike him heavily unto the ground. The water was steaming hot that it leaves bruises of burns on Maku's skin. All of a sudden the table was turn.

"H-how is that possible?" he stuttered as his body was severely bruised from the attacks he received.

"As one of the best elemental mages here in Nethilor, I have mastered and perfected in secrecy how to regulate the temperature of water whether it's cold or hot. My, my! This is one of the spells I forbid myself to use but you leave me no choice." She said as the splashes water around gathers and forms into her a liquified body figure.

"Liquid Temperament!" Epsilon was able to regulate the temperature of the water she casts as well as the water in her body either hot or cold but this ability had some limitation in some sort. "Liquid Temperament: Boiling!" She can raised the heat temperature of the water for a limited degree below the boiling point. "Liquid Temperament: Cooling!" This is the reverse ability that enables her to lower the water temperature above the freezing point.

Epsilon walks across the surface of the cracks approaching Maku while her temperature drops down and the steam that emits from her liquid body fades. She stops and reached unto Maku's face who's helplessly lying on the ground as she returned to her natural body figure. "Too bad, you look handsome. It's such a waste if I dispose you here right now." She japes.

Maku just smirked in front of her face that later follows with a laugh. It annoyed Epsilon to the point that she smashes Maku's face on the ground.

"You're strong yet pathetic. Always remember to not reveal your weak spot in front of your enemy." He said with a menace smile on his face and latter pointed his finger to the liquified foot of Epsilon.

"Blistering Frost!" In a glimpse, Epsilon's foot freeze in a rapid motion. It solidifies not just on the surface but through the inside that made her gasp. The frost spread fast throughout her body and it already solidify almost half of her.

"You said altering the temperature of your water is one of the spell you forbid yourself to use, well of course you can't let yourself solidify or evaporate. You have your limit whether it's cold or hot." Maku said with a smile of victory on his face. Epsilon was completely frozen before she was able to react. A mist of her condensed breath was seen as it exhaled through her mouth.

Maku helped himself to his feet and got up from being whopped unto the ground. He tries to fix himself back to his presentable self as his clothes were partially torn and were wet from the attacks he received from Epsilon earlier.

Out of nowhere, someone was sent flying and landed on the frozen body of Epsilon. It was Balthazar being pushed by Delta. Due to the collision, Epsilon's frozen body were shattered into thousand shards leaving her head rolling to Delta's whereabouts and stopped on her feet.

Staring with a fierce look at the frozen figure of her sister, Delta picked up Epsilon's head. Without saying anything, she throws her head up in the air and kick it hard as it falls down back to the ground that made it shattered more into tiny shards of ice crystalline.

"What the!?" Maku was surprise to see Delta's harsh action towards her own sister.

Delta is the eldest amongst the elemental sisters who possesses the power of solid, liquid and gas matter. She is the sole welder of the earth element that made her an expert about earth magic. She is able to manipulate the ground around her that makes her invulnerable as the ground and herself communicate as one.

"Well, well, well. Looks like you hate your sister that much." Balthazar got up as he stuttered from the pain on his back.

"What do you know?" Delta confronted them. "What I do is for my sister's own good." She took a few steps forward and cast her hand towards Maku and Balthazar.

"Terra Assault!" Towers purely composed of rocks and soil emerged beneath them with each of the earthly towers varies from heights and sizes. With the rising ground below them. Epsilon's crystalline body shards were completely destroyed and were out of sight as it embedded beneath the cracks on the ground.

"You sure do have a heart of stone." Maku said as they maneuver from tower to tower. "You could have at least spare her remains yet you destroys it even more."

"You're not the only smart person around here kid." Delta said. Beads of water droplets slowly formed midair. They were scattered all over the place. As time goes by, it gains in number that makes it looks like tiny droplets of rain frozen in time. "Heat flows from the air into the ice, through the surface. As the temperature of the ice rises, it begins to melt and returns to its liquid state. With more shards exposed to air, it's easier for heat to diffuse into the ice. And so smaller ice crystals melt faster than the same volume of bigger ice."

"Aqua Bullets!" The tiny droplets of water in the air began raining at a rapid motion the same as a flying bullet. It pierced and made holes on the ground effortlessly. It was Epsilon who revived herself from being frozen, thanks to her sister for breaking her body into tiny pieces. The attack covers a wide range that it even alarmed Faye who's at the other side of the battlefield. She flew high in the sky to evade the raining bullets of tiny water droplets below.

"Ice Generation: Aegis!" Maku wrapped himself together with Balthazar inside a shield made of ice that is capable to withstand any attack.

"Hmm, looks like they're having fun as well." Tabith said as he caught a glance of the entertaining performance from afar. "You're too boring, lets then this duel now. I was entertained to join their glamorous performance." He said straight to Dave's face as both their swords clank and clink against each other.

"Then, I'll grant your wish and finish you this instant." Dave glared at him which delighted Tabith in some sort.

"Bring it on!" The two dances with their blades as they tumble and maneuver through the ruins.

Meanwhile, the raining bullets of water droplets continues as if there is no end to it. Faye just watch from above the two of her comrades helplessly under the thick sheet of ice that shields them. However, without her knowing, Zeta got back into her consciousness.

"Wind of Salvation!" A sudden attack from Zeta surprised Faye as the wind slashes her back and fourth on a tremendous speed. After receiving minor hits, she was able to dodge it and fly around the place to evade the raining bullets and the chasing winds after her.

"Trinity Attack: Royal Privilege!" It as a combination attack of 'Terra Assault', 'Aqua Bullets' and 'Wind of Salvation' that entraps enemies inside a maze of multiple elements moving in a tremendous speed and will not stop until all the enemies trapped inside were annihilated.

Faye got exhausted of flying around and it slowed her. Unfortunately she was hit and falls down on the ground. Maku shielded her afterwards to prevent any attacks from hitting her.

"It is impossible to beat the elemental sisters when they're together." Zeta uttered. They watched as their combined elemental charge slowly beats the three who were helplessly trapped inside the elemental maze.
