New Ally or New Nemesis?

The Minotaur roared once more, Brandishes its sword then charging towards Chris. It was faster and stronger that before that made it hard for Chris to dodge it. The Monster noticed that Chris can dodge its attacks it changed its attack pattern that instead of furiously charging towards Chris. It grabbed the nearest boulder then threw to Chris with full strength. Fortunately he was able to dodge it but Chris seems to underestimated him. As the Minotaur threw the boulder to Chris it charged ahead and successfully hit Chris then bashing her to the nearest tree.

*CRASH*

"NOOO! LADY CHRISTIEE!" Arisa screamed at the top of her lungs as she couldn't do anything due to fear. She fell into her knees and cried as she saw that her friend rather her 'master' was killed. And remembering how her parents was killed. Her weeping continued till she heard a small explosion coming from the Minotaur and Chris.

"Ahh...that hurt...wait no...it didn't." Chris muttered to herself. Then a notification popped up.

'Oh that must be why I don't feel pain because I leveled up as it would replenish my health to full.' Chris smirked. 'Good to know. And this new skill is useful as it can build up the gathered mana from me' She said to her mind.

As Chris sheathed her Magic Gun she noticed something on the ground. It was a giant crystal. As soon as she picked it up, Arisa who was hiding in a bush ran towards Chris crying while confused as she hugged her tightly making Chris burrowed on her chest. Chris on the other hand were surprised and blushed by Arisa who was crying and the sudden hug and at the same time was crying a bit as the armor on Arisa's Chest were not soft. Their moment was interrupted when someone shrieked in a boy's voice which fell on a certain tree where Arisa was before it ran towards Chris.

"Ow. My head." The hooded figure patted its head as it was hit by the ground.

Arisa who came back to her senses looked to the direction where the noise came from. Both of them saw the person in a cloak lying on the ground, lifted its upper body, and patted its head as it was hit by the root of the tree. The two walked towards the person to check if its ok. As soon as they were noticed, It was shocked and tried to stand up and run but unfortunately Arisa apprehended him and slammed on to the trunk of the tree. Then she removed his hood to reveal his face with a scared expression. He had a cat ears, gray hair, shining green eyes, light brown toned skin but not too white, and mostly had a human-like face.

"Who are you? And are you the one who summoned that 'Demon Minotaur'? What's your objective?" Arisa said in serious tone while bombarding him with questions as she was pissed by the sudden attack.

"Uuuhhh...umm...u- u." The hooded person cannot answer Arisa as it was scared by her.

"ANSWER MEE!"

"Uhhh...Arisa you're scaring him, how was he suppose to speak when at the same time you're also bombarding him with a bunch of questions." Chris said while trying to calm her down.

"Ok...ok I'll speak. My name is Nick Nyrkos. A demi human . I was on a quest inside of a monster spawning dungeon when I saw that minotaur. As it saw me, it went mad and chased me here and I had to use my invisibility spell just to get away but i didn't know that you two were in the area." Nick's ears was lowered as he was scared by Arisa who was still angry. "I-i'm sorry."

"And why are you in this tree?" Arisa asked.

"Im a scaredy cat you know. As soon as I saw the minotaur that noticed me my senses instantly told me that i cannot defeat this thing. And i jumped off of the nearest tree and-and the minotaur just charged ahead and i thought that Im done for that was when it saw me but instead to you." Nick pointed to Chris.

"Hmm... does that dungeon's monsters drop this when killed?" Chris asked as she showed her dark-looking crystal.

Nick nodded as he was agreeing. "Monsters in that dungeon is not actually born by nature they were like summoned in that state."

'Oh its just like danmachi from the manga. Inside of the dungeon when heading to the lower floors where some monsters are actually spawn, just like he said and when killed it drops dark crystals like what im holding. I think i know where i can grind for money.' Chris thought to her mind.

"Arisa come on let's head back and turn in our quest."

"Alright." Arisa sighed and let Nick off of her clutch.

"Wait. Are you guys gonna let me go?" Nick was bewildered when Arisa let him off and without saying a word.

"Yes. I mean there's no point in asking anyways. And besides it already happened." Arisa said and walked away with Chris

"Well at least let me join your party." Nick said while following the two.

"And why would you want to join us?" Arisa was annoyed as she wanted to take a rest at the Inn they were staying.

"Well I want to pay you guys back for defeating that Demon Minotaur. And I want to give you girls a compensation but I don't have anything to give you, so I'll just going to join your party." Nick insisted himself on joining Chris' party.

Arisa let out a sigh and looked at Chris.

"What's your Occupation?" Chris asked in a calm manner.

"Im an Oracle. I can both heal you two and protect from a certain attacks with a barrier plus I can remove any restrictions or debuff." He explained his capabilities to Chris as Arisa seemed to not care about him.

As he reintroduce himself one more time a notification popped up.

Chris nodded of Agreement and said "Let's go to the Adventurer's hall to turn in our quests and we'll call it for the day and start another quest tomorrow."

"Okay." Nick nodded and smiled.

"By the Way I'm Christie Bautista and She's Arisa Bautista" Chris introduced themselves and leaned her right arm as she was initiating a handshake.

Nick knew about what handshake was and did the same thing. And they went ahead to the Adventurer's hall.

After they turned their quest they parted ways to their location respectively. Chris told Arisa to that she will visit the library at the time being as its still not closed. Nick who heard their conversation told Chris that she can learn various skills at the library for a certain price as it was also located on the third floor and there's a clerk that sells most of the skill books. And Nick insisted that he would accompany her to the library as Nick himself are about to go there as well.

As they went to the library they were greeted by the guard and the librarian who was beside the door so anyone that needs to ask something regarding the books and the library itself.

"Welcome to the city library lads. Please enjoy your reading and if you have any question about the books here and about the library, you can ask me." The librarian who had a brownish black hair, brown skinned, wearing a black long coat as it was her uniform and was wearing a pair of eyeglasses said in polite tone.

"Ah yes, Ma'am we were going to the third floor and needed your permission to go there." Nick didn't lie to her as it was restricted to commoners to enter the third floor up to fifth floor as it was only available to adventurers and authorized personnel.

"Alright, please present you're ids."

The two of them presented their ids and returned to the two of them with a pendant each but with a different colors. Nick got a greenish blue ones while Chris got a scarlet colored pendant with a Letter 'B' on top. The two were puzzled as they both got a different pendant.

"Christie that pendant is yours you don't have to bring it back here. But your friend here needs to return it to me after the two of you finished your business." The librarian explained about the different pendants. "On what Nick had was a common pendant which means he's only allowed to go to the third floor. While Chris can go everywhere she want's to go as she was Cardo the hero's daughter."

Nick was not surprised as he knew about her name and about her father. And by that he felt safe when she's around.
