9 Mistaken

It was Mr Hwang but this time he wasn't alone he had company, not the "let's make a meal for them"company but the "let's run away from them " company.

They kept on ringing the door bell as I  remained frozen  by the door.Alex then came by wondering what was taking me so long to open the door then he saw my issue.It wasn't that I didn't know how the door operated, I was just scared of the cops waiting outside.

Alex immediately ran to the boys and told them there were cops outside.They started to panic saying things like "Why are cops here? "...."Are we going to jail"....."I'm too pretty for jail"....then the voice of reason shut  all those thoughts out .

It was moments like these you really appreciated  Jihoon for his role as a leader.He calmed everyone down then went to personally answer the door.Mr Hwang and the Detectives  were quick to ask what took us so long.

I would've lied and said that we were  still sleeping but I would've been caught as everyone looked ready  ,well everyone but Phoenix. I guess that's why I'm not the leader of the group or even part of the group.Jihoon explained that they we were just surprised  and that it was kinda  scary seeing the Detectives outside so we kinda hesitated.

They let us of the hook just because of his honesty.Mr Hwang informed us that Jojo was dead but we already knew since it was all over tv.Then he broke it to us that the Detectives were not  just there for a friendly  visit ,they had some questions they wanted the boys to answer.

They said these were just normal questions but from what I've seen in movies  detectives don't just visit anyone. It's either you were  close to the victim or you're a suspect. So which  category were the boys being questioned under.

The detective started off asking "Where were you all last night ?" ,"Did any of you have any contact  with Jojo after the meeting ?",

Min answered the first question with  ease, they were all at home ,and as for the second question they denied having had any contact with him.Alex was quick to add that none of them even knew where to buy drugs but that's when the Detectives clarified that's it wasn't an overdose. It had been  a homicide.

This news sent chills down everyone's spine  but  they didn't stop there,they said it was premeditated murder. This meant that it was someone who had planned everything out.I don't know how everyone else felt but I was really scared.

Then they dropped another  bomb on us,2 months ago some other girl had been murdered in exactly the same way.They suspected that it could be the same person as they never caught the culprit. This came as a relief to the boys as this meant that they weren't suspects .Now the question was why the Detectives were there.

So apparently there was one huge factor. Both victims were murdered the same way except for one little detail.Jojo had A heart written EVIF inside ,inscribed on his chest.

I saw a couple faces turn pale upon hearing this,MINE INCLUDED.They were still unclear on what the motive was but they knew it was something to do with the band.The detective said that  this person was clearly unwell and seeing that he or she loves EVIF  meant the boys could have been in trouble as well.

Finally we got the real reason why the cops were here,some psycho was out there and the boys could have been their next target. The cops said they would try their best to keep the" little detail" from the press  but had to clarify that it was a homicide.

This meant that there were to be changes  around the boys.More security was requested for them and I was hoping they'd send me back home but I wasn't so lucky.  Mr Hwang said they had to act like everything was normal which meant I had to stay.

I just hoped and prayed that I wouldn't wake up dead ,this month with EVIF was looking a bit long .I mean look at what happened to Jojo  over  night whilst I still had 4 weeks with them, no designer or stylist or popstar was worth this .

I really  wanted to abject to the decision of me staying but I could see that the boys had enough problems.They couldn't deal with me leaving as well not that  I mattered to them but it would only raise unnecessary suspicions.

It was a really  long  and depressing day ,we didn't even leave the house.New guards were placed all over the premises ,tensions were high.We couldn't even watch tv as the news that Jojo was murdered was now the trending topic .

Some fans were even protesting at the police station saying that they wanted the head of the murderer. The boys looked even worse than when they were worried about the hearing.No meal could help this time around.

Making the boys happy was the least of my concerns ,something had been bothering me all day.The previous night I hadn't gotten much sleep and I  remembered something which happened.

I had gone to get a glass of warm milk as I heard it helps you fall asleep. As I was leaving the kitchen I could've sworn I heard the door close. When I peeped outside a car was driving off from the gate.

This meant that someone had gone out,but I wasn't sure who it was.Plus it wasn't any of my business they are grown man after all.But things had changed now, there was a dead body and a criminal on the loose.

All the boys had said they were home meaning that one of them lied making it more suspicious. Why would someone who is not guilty lie about being home.

All of the boys seemed like good people, even Phoenix who doesn't like me.But looks can be deceiving and I had only known these people for 3 days  afterall.My guard suddenly went up.

Was I living with the psycho and  just lied to the police about it.Would it make me an accomplice. All this was going through my head but I didn't want to point a finger at someone just to find out I'm in the wrong.

But was I really  mistaken?
