Comment: A naive noob nobody!

["Oh, don't mind about the comment. It was already programmed. Already programmed."]

It tried to sound innocent but it was like stopping its laughs from escaping out of its mouth.

Such a shameless liar!

Actually, it was never there from the first time the status screen appeared. There was supposed to be no comment section on the status screen but the system found bullying him interesting. At least it could vent out all of its frustration for landing in a weak body.

It coughed, composing its self as it was done with the fun and its time to talk about essential things, making its host not ill-informed about how weak he had been all this time.

["The normal stat of a normal person is 3 so the comment will not change until your Stat points reach that number. For now, you should be used with it else work hard to replace it with a better one. Anyways, your weak condition was caused by your lack of sleep, irregular eating, and psychological exhaustion. Your body was on its limits."]

"Ah... By the way, what are these plus Luck Points mean? Did I already received some Luck from others?"

["The woman and the guard, you got it from them. 0.5 for the woman, 1.5 from the guard and 3 from me, a beginner's reward while the remaining 2 points is the leftover of my stored luck after washing away the your bad luck. You should be grateful since I gave you 5 all in all."]

"How about this 'level thing'? What does it do?" He looked at the screen where there was 0 on it.

["In every level there are new opportunities to be unlocked. Now that you are still of the level of an egg, there's no use of talking about it."]

"Fine." He frowned. But after a few seconds, it was then replaced with an excited look as if remembering something. That moment, the system's host resembled a child who was excited to try out his parents' gift.

"Can I now allocate my available Luck points?"

["Sure, do as you fit so."]

"What do you suggest? What should I prioritize?"

["It all depends on your goal. If you want to be so quick and fast, then allocate more in agility. If you want to be so strong then allocate more to strength. If you want to last long in things you do, put more in stamina. If you want to be smarter, then raise your intelligence. If you want them balance, you already know what I mean by the word balance alone. It's that simple. By the way, what goal do you have in life? Or do you even have one?"]

"Honestly, the very day I got tailed by the bad luck, the only goal and wish I have was for it to disappear. Now that I'm already free from it, I don't know what to do next."

He was hoping for the system to help him set a new goal in life. Though he have some thoughts about it after having the system but it was still vague for him. He was still unsure on what path to take as having the system have a lot of possibilities. He can be a fighter when his stats grow in numbers. Anyways, he still have a lot of time to think about it, besides, he was still at level 0, with the system being limited of its capabilities. Indeed, a long way to go.

["I suggest you allocate more to your agility first. Make your agility normal. In case of trouble, you can easily run for your life."]

"Are you perhaps sending me for more trouble?"

["Anything can happen in life, it will be great to be always prepared kiddo."]

"Fine." He nodded.

He could only agree on what the all-knowing system said. But he was embarrassed too as it would sound like he agreed that he was just good in running. He still had some pride. But in the end, he still followed the old thing's suggestion since even if it was even prideful, always staying at its high horse, he couldn't deny the fact that it was right.

["Also improve your strength and stamina since you need hard labor to please more people as your face is not enough to guarantee you Luck Points."]

The young man coughed out of a sudden.

Dang! That sure hit a nerve on him but he still chose to follow its advice as he wasn't knowledgeable of this stuffs and was likely forced to trust its seemingly unreliable and spiteful mouth.

["Don't worry. It wouldn't take too long. Now, that I am embedded in your soul, I can assure you, good things will surely follow you hehe."]

His host coughed again.

["It seemed like your throat is sore kiddo. Okay, I won't brag anymore. Besides, when that time comes... When you leveled up, I'm sure you will voluntarily praise me, of how great of a system I am."]

What a braggart. Being a system alone make it unique, it would not be surprising if it was also weird and had its extremities.

He never listened for the rest of the system's chatter as it was just full of nonsense. Instead, he focused himself on allocating his Luck Points. Excitement was written all over his face. It was apparent how thrilled he was on doing it. He never knew the effects of these additional stats would be, if it would turn to be great or not. But he certainly had some hopes, if possible, he wanted witness some changes.

Comment: Still, a naive noob nobody!

He smiled wryly. The comments did change but it was 'still' harsh still containing blatant ridicule. Maybe he had to get used of it. That was all he could do as he couldn't remove this system out of his head, as if he wanted to remove it too, never. That was why he could only endure.

After spending all of his 7 Luck Points or LP, he was able to turn his Agility and Strength to 3 which indicated a normal human's Stat.

This would be the clear result, don't just mind about the comment.

"Aren't you supposed to say something about the opportunities to further encourage me? You know, like, what lies in level 1 would be interesting to converse with."

["No, not now. I don't want to see your neck break just by knowing how hard it is to unlock those."]

Hearing those caused him to be conscious that he still often lowered his head until now. As he looked himself at a mirror, he then lifted his head a little, still a little bit lowered but already enough for his face to be seen. It also made him look taller. He could say, he definitely looked better with that posture. Practice makes perfect, it would be better to do it now and then.

Then he went back to the topic after hearing the system's voice.

["Kid, I don't want to give you false hopes. You having a hope is already enough, not to mention you already have perseverance as what you claimed yourself."]

He felt that the system was just concerned about him but it was prideful enough to not admit it.

At least that's what he thought. He was a little even doubtful about it as he never really knew what concern really was since he only experienced it a few times in his pity life.

All in all, he found it cute though and could only laugh secretly. Without saying it out in his mind.

But he truly do felt warmth from its words despite its bad-mouthing habit.

At that time, he remembered one of the concern that had been tugging him after having the system.

"System, talking about absorbing luck from people? Isn't it bad? What if they have little to none luck then I would also absorb it? Wouldn't that make them miserable?"

["It is true those little to none Luck Points would likely be miserable. Just like you before, you even have a high number of bad luck points with zero Luck Points, consuming all my years earned luck."]

["Actually, we're not that bad."] The old system interrupted before he could speak.

["In 1 luck you absorb, only half of that was place on each of your accounted stat point. It means, in every Luck Point you got only 0.5 of that is really present, the other half of the luck point, well... it will go to the ones who needed it most, to the most unfortunate."]

Gaining some understanding of it, he subconsciously nodded.

"In short, the system will only absorb the half then let out the other half."

["Yes, that's how it works kid."]

He felt relieved. It was like another heart was demon gotten rid of. In a way, he could even lend help to those the same as him before, in dire need of luck. All in all, it gave him a comfortable feeling.

Suddenly, he remembered that he still had an important question left. He decided to speak it out before he could forget.

"Old man, what's the question mark in the 'name' part? Didn't you already read my memories? So, you should already know about my name.... Why is it still empty? Care to explain?"
