Parking the car outside the hospital, Noah for the first time liked the attention he was getting. It was not that he felt more handsome, or that he liked people envying him for having a good life, but rather he was proud that one day he could take Maggy out for a ride in that car. And the way his little sister was excited, Noah knew that she would have more fun than anyone there, either because of how much fun she would have riding at high speed (without putting her at risk), or because of how much she would like to be able go out while people look at her.

He thought his sister was the cutest person in the world, and as much as he was not a fan of getting all kinds of attention, he knew she loved getting it, so he was happy that this car was going to provide that little pleasure for her.
