I formally greet you in the birth of my new creation, Lucid Dream Server! The story involves our main character, named Sakurai Yuuta, as he was given the chance to become one of the thousands of beta players in the newest VRMMORPG!

But what is the difference between this VRMMORPG and other RPG's you may ask?

It's that anyone can access it through their lucid dreams! Even without the headgear, one can log in into the VRMMORPG through their minds by accessing what's called the Lucid Dream Server.

Made by a high-end developer using the most recent biological discovery of accessing the hippocampus in order to access what's deemed as the 'dreamland', Lucid Dream Corporation managed to invent Lucid Dream Server for experimental purposes.

But what's the fun in experiments when no fun is involved???

Hence the company decided to turn it into a massive open-world VRMMORPG and made VR headgears for it. Of course! Anyone can access it if one were to have a lucid dream, the VR headgears are just there to force the hippocampus to enter a lucid dream state.

Once again, another high-end invention made solely for the purpose of gaming.

That's why, in the year 2044, the gaming community has entered a new era. Consoles and PC's are now a thing of the past, and now, you can access an RPG in the comfort of your dreams!

Enter Sakurai Yuuta, a teenager who got into an unfortunate accident that made him blind. When fate robbed him of his eyes, he didn't give up. Instead, he faced everything forward. A fictional character that goes by the name Daredevil was a great inspiration for him and through experiment and trial-and-errors, Sakurai Yuuta managed to enhance his senses to superhuman extents.

But there's only so much one could do without sight.

On a predestined encounter with one of the scouts scouting for beta testers, Sakurai Yuuta managed to get a hold of the most recent invention of Lucid Dream Corporation.
