4 Act 1 BOTE: Part 4

Down back on earth a few humans have stubble across a huge opening within the sewers, an opening leading to the outside world. As soon as some seen light many flee back to the depths of the sewers in fear of if the war were still going on out there. Many hours have past, now a group of humans surround the opening but yet no one was brave enough to step outside.

"Are you sure the bombs have stopped dropping?"

"I haven't heard anything within a few days."

"I remember hearing gun shots around downtown but I'm not to sure if those were real or not."

All still within fear from the past two weeks look at the small hole opening. Then one man decided to step outside wearing a gas mask just in case. He takes his first step, almost as if he was testing the waters before taking his first leap in. He fully steps outside and takes a look around the place, and not to his surprised its just what he imagined. Buildings torn to pieces, some still standing but were broken in some places. Smoke and ash were still in the air but not as bad as before. None can say the same for the bodies on the ground, some dead holding onto each other while some were just laying there alone. It was a horrible sight to see for the man, but for him this was normal. He signals the group to place on their masks and for them to come outside for it was safe. Soon the group sees what the man show as they take a look around a destroyed city they once called home.

"We shouldn't be standing in the open like this, what if someone was waiting."

"If they were, I would have already been dead."

The group start to wonder within the small area just looking at the wreckage when suddenly a child spots a man groaning in pain for he is stuck within a damaged fighter plane."Mommy, Mommy", the kid shouts soon her mother comes up and gasps at the man, a few of the survivors come to aid the man pulling him out of the plane and laying him on the sidewalk.

"Xièxiè", said the damaged man as he try's to bow to the people while laying down.

"Whats he saying?"

"It's Chinese for thank you. Seems this man used to be our enemy, but is now our friend in these trying times."

"Friend...Friend?!? We can not be friends with this...this..this..this commie scum. What if he kills us all."

"I'm pretty sure if he would he couldn't. He is injured plus I have his weapon." He says as he waves a pistol in the air, then puts it away. "Lets aid the man back to our place, the Doc will help him."

"I don't like this one bit Jared. Can we check him for any trackers or more weapons?"

"You may do so if it will calm you down, but for right now we have to return home. We can not explore anymore with an injured man."

Two men carry the injured solider but not before clearing him of anything deemed a weapon or tracker. After finding nothing they all hide back within the sewer. in the nearby distance a thing was watching the scene happen. The thing continues to watch until the group heads back inside then it too goes back into the darkness.
