7 Chapter 7: Shadow Extract

While dodging a system notification appeared on his head.

Lucas was excited to the reward, killing this rabbit is comparable to doing his daily task. The only problem is his lacked of real combat experience.

When the rabbit misses its first attack, its rage increased. the sharp horn on its head was pointed again to Lucas direction and was ready to charge to him again.

Still, Lucas did not take his action since it was good to observe the attack pattern of the rabbit first before making his counter. The rabbit charge increases in speed and it jumps when near his target to pierce Lucas chest.

Luckily, his reaction was fast and move to the side to avoid the attack. But the rabbit manage to scratch Lucas arm with its claw. The wounds are only scratches, his regeneration immediately activated.

"Tsk, I am careless, I should start making my move now before it makes me a skewed meat and get an attention to the people inside".

Lucas, started to make his move. Positioning himself on the wall with the screen net, he plan to trap the rabbit by dodging it, to hit the metal screen. When the rabbit makes its move again, Lucas immediately moves to the side to dodge the attack, the pattern of its attack is already readable for him since it will only charge directly and you just have to avoid the horn. From charging position, it will jump when it is near to the target which show its flaw because it cannot make a maneuver on air when you already move away in front of it.

The rabbit only hit the screen net instead of Lucas body. The Sharp horn of it was trapped between the gap of the metal net. This gives Lucas a chance to counter. He immediately raise his one leg and make an axe kick to the body of rabbit.

The Rabbit was slammed on the floor that make it coughed up blood.

The back part of the rabbit that was hit by the kick was already deformed and bent. He gives it another kick on the neck that crack the bones and the rabbit lost its life.

'Finally, its dead'

Lucas sighed and wiped the sweat on his chin. Even though the battle was short, it was his first time having a real-life battle and killing his opponents.

When the notification rang out on Lucas head, he was surprised since there was a bonus attributes from his first kill.

The notice did not end on that since it was followed by another announcement.

still the he announcement did not end for that as another announcement appeared again for the third time.

Lucas was shocked by his new given skill. Since it was stated that the system is a necromancy system, it is obvious that it will deal with the dead. Still, it was a surprised to him since he can summon a being that will not die as long as he can supply it with mana. Moreover, the skill and abilities that originally within the creature will retain when they were summoned.

Lucas smiled, " I think i should now allocate more point on intelligence than the other attributes".

Looking at the corpse of the rabbit, Lucas notices something on the corpse that was not ther before. There is a transparent green flame on the head of the corpse. The flame was at a size of a thumb. 'this should be the soul'. He activated the Soul Extract skill to try it.

"Extract!"

The green flames suddenly move from the forehead of the corpse. The green flames suddenly grow bigger, a lot of white light spots were coming out from the body of the Two-Horned Rabbit and slowly fusing to the green flame. After fusing, the green flame formed into another Two-horned Rabbit but the white fur of the rabbit turns into grayish. The eyelids of rabbit had painted black and the eyes has a white color that is glowing.

The corpse of the rabbit on the floor suddenly withered into dust, there ate no traces left of the corpse on the floor. Even the blood that it had spilled when it was kicked by Lucas was also removed.

There is completely no trace of the corpse left and only the soul that was extracted from the corpse left, which was glowing in front of him right now. Before, he was thinking of a plan on how to dispose the corpse since he knows that the beast had came from the school laboratory. Knowing by the school that he kills it, it will make a disturbance to him and create unnecessary trouble, since everybody thinks that he is only a 1 Star Beginner Warrior.

The extracted soul suddenly fade and the system interface give him a notice.

Lucas had no time to summon it again, he need to Gert away from the rooftop before someone see him here. Though the corpse was not there anymore, but the traces of battle can be seen.

The arm that previously wounded from the claw of the rabbit was already healed. But it takes 1 of his mana.

On the other hand, Macy was currently roaming within the school building, she had pass through before the laboratory and saw the teacher inside is in panicking. She was the President of school Student Council, as an officer she decided offers help to the teacher that in trouble. She was shocked to heard that one of the kept beasts of the laboratory got away from its cage and unknown where its current location at.

The teacher does not know where to start for searching, possibly it may out of the building already. Macy, decided to help the teacher on searching, since it was better if there are two of them to look for it, also informing the school right now will only alarm and create a panic for the students.

Luckily for her she had enough strength to face it worst things come. Her cultivation was already at 1star intermediate warrior and not just that, she was one of the few on the graduating batch who were able to breakthrough on this level.

Walking at the door way, he saw a shadow of a man who was walking at the stairs to enter the top floor. She remembered this man; He is the one that enter the gym after her this afternoon. She didn't bother the to warn him since it was impossible that the beast walks though at the top since it was looking to run away from the school. The teacher on Macy side pulled her to look at each floor below.

After an hour of searching, they did not see the beast. She was currently back at the laboratory.

"Ms. Student Council President, where do you think the beast go through?" asked by the teacher.

Macy thinks for a while, " we have already search through the whole building but there were no traces Ma'am. We had also informed the teacher within, still we have no result. Possibly it had gone through the emergency exit and run to the forest at the back of school".

The teacher nod shoeing her agreement at her, since her conclusion had greater possibility.

"Alright, you should be going now. I will just inform the principal of what happen here to make sure that it will not be a threat toy the students safety".

Getting out of the Laboratory, Macy remembers the man before that gone through the top floor of the building as she stares at the stairs when she exit the room. A sudden flash of realization appears on her mind.

"Is it possible that it is on the top floor? oh no, that student gone there".

She run straight to the top floor; she pushed the door which created a loud 'bang'.

Looking around the place, there are no presence of the man that walk here before. She walks around to look at the surrounding.

She noticed that the metal screen at the side of wall was slightly bent. "This Bent was not something created by a weak beginner warrior, the steel used on this are strong and can only be bent by force around 700 kilograms. Observing on the floor there are also trace that something had slammed on it because the dust on the floor was pushed on the side creating a clean circle.

Possibly the rabbit gone here and that man encounters it. but there are no traces of its body, even blood drop."

The image of Lucas suddenly enters her mind and her lips curled upward.
