6 Chapter 6: Two-Horned Rabbit

His mother frowned, she knows that her son was only 1 Star Beginner Warrior and the minimum requirements to graduate is to reach 4 to 5 Star Beginner Warrior. In addition, Lucas have only 3 months before graduation. It was not a problem if they just have the resources to help him raise his strength but their current status won't do it.

"I know your worries mom, there is also a blessing in disguise from what happen to me. Look, I am already a 2-star Beginner Warrior, as long as I work harder, I can reach 4 stars before graduation". He said to assure his mother.

Lucas Mother did not know the real strength of Lucas since she was not able to cultivate. Her knowledge only comes from what she heard from her son before.

When afternoon came, an unexpected visitor suddenly came at their door.

The visitor is a middle-aged man that resembles Marco. This man was Jonas, who had visit Principal Lumen at the school.

"Good afternoon Mrs. Dole, may I have some of your time?" he said. He did not notice the presence of Lucas who was currently sitting at the sofa.

"Sure, please come in" Lucas mother invited him as if she knows him already. She offers him a chair and a cup of tea.

Lucas expression turned sour for a moment when he met the gaze of Jonas. But Jonas did not notice the change of his expression, he focused on looking at his body.

"May I know the reason of your visit today, Mr. Jonas?" Lucas mother asked.

Jonas takes a sip of the tea. "Oh, I just want to check if how was your son. I heard that he was already released from the hospital, few days ago".

Luca's mother smiled." he is already completely fine. It is a blessing for us that he can leave the hospital early, I would also like to thank you for giving us for taking the bills from the hospital"

"don't mind it, it was my son fault at first place that this thing happened. By the way, I have another reason of my visit today" he shifts his gaze to Lucas.

He started to open his mouth. "Lucas, I'm glad that you are fine now, but can you please let the matters happen between you and Marco pass?" Jonas said.

Lucas didn't reply. The reason of Jonas visit had already predicted by him. On the other hand, his mother was a bit dissatisfier by this demand. Even though they took responsibility of the matters, her son life was in danger because of Marco's doing.

"I hope you can forgive him; he is my only son that is why he is a bit arrogant. I have spoiled him too much, when I learned of what happened at school, I already punished his of what he has done" he said. "you know that having kicked out of school will give him a bad record and the university that will accept student with bad records are too few" he plead with a sincere look to Lucas.

Lucas pondered for a moment. "Alright, I will let go of the matters as long as you can compensate me". His mother was shocked by the response of Lucas, she was dissatisfied by his decision but she didn't voice out her opinion.

The expression of Jonas suddenly changes to an energetic one. "don't worry, I will compensate your family of a million dollars. They will be transferred tomorrow".

Mr. Jonas did not linger for long on their house and said his goodbye. After Jonas was out of their gate, his mother nag at him.

"Why did you negotiate like that, you are a victim son. Your life is in danger on that moment and a million can not compensate your life" she angrily said.

Lucas was touched of what her mother said. She and his little sister are the one that he cherishes the most, her concern for him was something that he really appreciated. He explained to her his reason for agreeing Jonas request.

"It is alright mom; I will just stay away from Marco inside the campus. Beside the compensation is enough for us to support our studies. I know that father savings left was already used up and the compensation that we get from his death was not enough to support us. Especially next school year, Lyka will also start to enter school".

Hearing the explanation of Marco, her mother cannot complain anymore since she knows that there is really not enough money for them and her daughter will also start to enter school in half a year. She sighed "Alright, but promise me that you would stay away on that kid".

Lucas only nodded.

The next day, Lucas decided to go back in the Khan Academy. Everybody was surprise when he suddenly appeared at the school. The student was whispering about what happened to him. His events were already a talk of his class until afternoon. Lucas on the other hand did not bother to entertain this people. He only sees them as a clown with nothing to talk about, luckily nobody disturbed him.

On the afternoon, Lucas did not take his lunch and proceeded to the school gym. He chooses to enter since he like to twist the improvement of his body. When he enters, he saw a girl was currently standing in front of the punching machine.

The girl was currently closing her eyes and concentrating her energy on her fist. When charge her fist enough, she suddenly releases the fist with a shout. A row of number appears above the machine.

'Ding 1245'

The result reach 4 digit. Lucas was shocked to the girl result and he look at her. She was around 5'2 in height with a good figure and average size of chest. Her rounded face was beautiful with a mole at the side of her right eyes and her hair was ash gray. Even though her statute was small, she is not to be underestimated. Her strength was already above Beginner Warrior. Observing her carefully, Marco realized that she was the 1st section top student Macy Sy.

Macy already noticed Marco the moment he enter, but did not pay attention to him thinking that he was one of his admirer. She was looking at the result with a satisfied smile. After a moment, she immediately lives the gym, afraid that Marco was one of her annoying suitors.

The same as her, Marco was glad that she leave immediately, he does not want anybody to discover his improvement this time.

Standing at the position where Macy stands before, he concentrated his power to his fist and release a full-strength punch of him. As his fist touches the machine, the row of number above suddenly moves.

'Ding 605'

He was not surprised by the result since his strength attribute had raised into 12. After measuring his strength, he proceeds to the speed measuring device. After 20 second of running at the device, the result was released.

'Ding 60 kph'

The speed proportion was equivalent to 5kph per attribute point since it also has 12 attributes points. Knowing his physical status, he gets out of the gym before anyone notice him.

At the Laboratory of Khan Academy which located at the top floor building, a cage that contain with a white rabbit was suddenly opened. The rabbit was no ordinary, since it contains two horns at its forehead and with a sized of half a meter. This rabbit is a Tier 0 beast, which is used as experiment subject in teaching the student and as a research material. Even though this creature was dangerous, it has only the power of 4 star Beginner Warrior since it is a youngling and haven't reach maturity.

The last class that used the laboratory had forgotten to close the cage properly since they are hurrying to take their lunch. The rabbit suddenly passed through the door and run away of the room.

Lucas decided to take his lunch after coming out of school gym. The afternoon lesson was also loose since it was combat and sparring session.

Many of his classmate ask him to be their partner but he refuse and remain in the audience area.

This session is the only time where his classmate remembers him. They enjoy beating him, also making fun of him. After a few times of beating, Lucas already learned his lesson and refused to enter sparring session. From that, his classmate started to get dissatisfied and beat him also during classes.

But right now, Lucas still refuses to join as he was hiding his strength to others. When he was bored already of watching his classmate sparring, he sneaked out of the gym and proceed to the roof top to get some air. Reaching the roof top, he looked below to the gate from above holding at the screen net. Suddenly, a cussing sound was heard by him from behind.

Being shocked of sound, he looked at the source of the sound and a white animals had enter his sight. The white animal was the rabbit from the laboratory. Lucas focused his gaze on the rabbit and a row of data appeared on his sight.

DOUBLE-HORNED RABBIT (tier 0) (youngling): a rabbit with a two horn which they used to pierce their enemies

Lucas immediately identified the creature but a new feature appeared on his appraisal. "Power level? potential?"

He had no time to think. The rabbit suddenly attack with its horn intending to pierce through Luca's leg. Lucas

immediately dodge the rabbit attack.

While dodging a system notification appeared on his head.
