Ch 1: Background

City B On a hot Summer day

At the age of 19, she was already working for Tan Co. which was the top ten most successful company in City B. With her extraordinary talent and photogenic memory, she was able to complete her master's degree of 2 different subjects in 2 years while even working as a part-timer in 4 different places. As being a scholarship student, she was able to save quite an amount of money in that duration and was also able to give some of the allowances to her adoptive father though he never used that money. Currently, she was working in the Tan Co. marketing department for the past 2 months.

After getting the job she got the nickname of workaholic from her colleagues. She followed the same working pattern almost every day besides holidays. On that particular day, she was visited by her adoptive father Tan Xiao early in the morning so she was not able to get proper sleep as she worked till late the other night.

Oh! let me first introduce our female lead. Our female lead Tan Xing was founded by Tan Xiao near a running river covered with blood and as they were in the relatively remote side of the city, he was able to take her to a nearby best hospital which was about 1-hour drive. Fortunately, she was saved but due to the accident she lost her memory and was not able to recall her past and whenever she tried hard to recall her she would suffer from an unbearable headache so, her doctors suggested her not to forcefully try to remember her memories as it may hamper her mental health.

At first, Tan Xiao waited for her family members to contact him for their missing child but even after 6 months there was no news from the family and so, he decided to adopt her and give her his name, Tan Xing. He kept her name Xing as it was engraved in her bracelet which she was wearing at the moment she was found. Tan Xiao was a general manager at a bank at that time period and he hasn't made any family though he was already 52 years due his unwillingness to start a family after he was betrayed by his first love so he was delighted to have Xing as his family.

As she lost her memory she was not very comfortable to talk more with anyone so normally she was seen as quite and clam girl but some who were jealous with her due to several reasons normally thought that she was pretending her calmness and was actually seducing and manipulating people to maintain a good image Infront of everyone. Some even wanted to quarrel with her for this reason but she was always nonchalant about the issues they rose and often ignore their presence so she was also called the cold-hearted beauty in her college days.

Pair of father and daughter chatted for some time and then Xing left for her office which was 20-minute walking distance from her small rented apartment which she rented after she got her job in Tan Co. as it was convenient for her so Tan Xiao also agreed to this decision of hers.
