4 Walking towards the classroom

Its been a week here. I started hanging out with the trio and sat with them since the first day.

This was the last year of graduation and I am going to be a Zoologist soon.

The college timings were from 11:00am- 6:30pm and huge amount of my time was wasted on the way to college as it took about an hour to reach.

Our lab was scheduled after the lunch break.

The lab here was smaller than last college but much clean and ventilated.

I was really interested in studies and attended all the lectures with complete concentration. I liked the behavior of the professors , they respected the students and had friendly interactions with students, unlike the previous college where most of professors had harsh attitude and dominant nature.

No one approached me during this whole week, except for one. I got a text message by one of the boy from class welcoming me to the college. That’s all.

I walked towards Lr.19 pushing myself through the crowded corridor hissing "Excuse me" to everyone in my way...ohhh i hate it when someone comes close to me and this crowd is making me feel claustrophobic.

As I approached the class I saw him on the very first bench .His fair skin, his jawline, his black curly hairs, my heart started to beat fast, he was speaking to someone on his left and so his side face was visible to me. I stood there frozen. Everything was in slow motion.

What is he doing here?

Wasn't he in dental college the last time I checked?

What the f*ck ?

He turned his face towards me, watching me standing few steps from the door.

My mind and heart were racing at the lightening speed but I knew my face showed nothing. He smiled.

Noooooo.....he was not the one.

He was not the one I had a crush on.

Noooo..... Kavya clear your head.

It’s already hard.

I saw him checking me out.

Without returning the smile I was walking past him and settled down .I sat on the last second bench in the middle row of class.

Rest of the day, I was not able to concentrate, partially because of the boring talk of professor but mostly I was drifted into my own thoughts, in past .And occasionally glanced over him on the first bench thinking how can he be so similar to my crush. I need to clear my head. As the lunch break started I gathered my stuff. I usually spend my lunch break either alone exploring the college or with a friend, she was in chemistry department. It was her first year here, she was my junior in school.

I walked out of the class, today I decided to spent my time venturing in the college. I want to see every part of here. I climbed down the stairs and saw lovely trio. All three of them were fun and full of gossips. They were giggling, another one in the store of our warehouse of gossips.

"Heya" I waved and walked up to them. Afreen straightened her back but saachi still in her trance.

"Someone is in demand." Said saachi pinching my elbow. I narrowed my eyes and waited for the explanation.

"Do you remember Ricky?" Asked Saachi winking at me. I walked up to the glass wall, looking at my reflection and trying to fix my hairs.

"The huge guy?" I asked knitting my eyebrows, still checking out myself in the glass. Ricky was the tallest and most bulky guy in the class. He was class representative too.

"So you did notice him, huh!" Teased Afreen cocking her eyebrows.

"Well, how can someone with such hard built go un-noticed?" I asked shrugging my shoulders. Three of them gave each other a look with a smirk on their faces.

"What about him?" I asked turning my attention to them.

"You will eventually know…" with that they took off. I looked at their back for few moments and sighed. Shaking my head I walked to my left. I never explored this side of college. After walking for few minutes a new building came in my vision 'Research center’.

A small lush path was located by the research center. I looked at it for a while debating whether it is safe to go in alone or not but decided on becoming a daredevil.

I walked in. Either side had green lush trees and Small concrete foot steps were placed on the path. As I walked in deep, a broken bench came in my vision, it was broken in two, half part lying on the floor engulfed by weeds and other plants but other one still intact. I decided to sit and have my alone time.

Taking deep breaths, I was mesmerized by the view. Calming shades of green surrounding me, clean fresh air, squirrels running on the concrete step, birds chirping. I smiled to myself. I silently ate my lunch in solitude.

"Found my place." I whispered to myself picking up my bag. This place was perfect for my shouting brain.

I walked to the lab, trio was already seated. I sat with them and glanced around, my eyes rest on Ricky.

The guy was huge, with dark complexion and straight face without any expression. I glanced towards him.

Saachi cleared her throat grabbing my attention. She had her usual grin on her face. Eventually as the lab proceed they reveal that Ricky was going to asked me for coffee.

I thought - ohh I am damn sure this is just a rumour, I have heard a lot of such rumours in past..... He look innocent and "forever single" pasted on his forehead.

I initiated the talk with Stuthi to divert the topic. she was shy and I loved to tease her. She remained me of my cousin.

Midway during the practical I realized someone was staring at me. I stiffened. I looked over to the table ahead of ours and saw three boys talking...The one staring at me was the same guy from the first bench who looked exactly like Utkarsh (my crush).

He immediately looked away and sat down. I caught him a couple of times looking at me . I ignored as he reminded me of Utkarsh.

2 YEARS BACK...

I never actually thought I would actually choose BSc. Because I got admission in dental college but was not allowed to leave the city by my parents.

I applied in BSc as a backup just in case I didn't get admission in medical college... After fighting for over a month with my parents who didn't allowed me to leave the city eventually I gave up and choose to appear for the entrance exam again next year.

My mother insisted on joining BSc as she didn't want me to waste my whole year. I continue the college along with the preparation for entrance exam.

Utkarsh was one of my classmate back then .He approached me one day. He was charming and initiated the conversation.

Me being 5'7" with really short hairs back then looked at him confused...

He was 5'8" but appeared to be so small in front of me. I laughed internally.

He joined dental and left the college after couple of weeks.

Yeah for that short period of time I liked him.

BACK TO LAB...

Utkarsh was my last crush and I never found anyone attractive. And today utkarsh is one of my friend.

I no longer find him attractive in that way.

But yeah he is still charming and an amazing friend.
