1 A Piece of Garbage Novel

Once upon a time, a white rabbit was seen by a little girl. The white rabbit was hopping madly to one direction as if it was running late to somewhere, and such a scene had caught the little girl's attention. That little girl felt something was odd with the white rabbit but didn't know what, therefore she decided to follow it. Seeing that the white rabbit hopped down in a hole on the ground, the little girl immediately ran up to the hole and out of carelessness, she fell down into it... However it continued afterwards didn't matter, it was merely a fairytale, but although it was a fairytale, there was another person who encountered something similar to the little scene in the fairytale. Albeit, there was no white rabbit, nor a rabbit hole.

That person was a young woman who lived a happy life until she was pushed down from behind, and without knowing where the black hole came from, she unwillingly fell down into it. Darkness surrounded her, she couldn't hear, see, or feel anything, leaving her with only her thoughts in her mind.

'Am I dying?'

'No, I don't want to die... No... '

'... I won't accept this kind of unknown death!'

After such a strong voice of unwillingness and dissatisfaction, the darkness surrounding the woman quickly dispersed and was soon taken over by the light. At the same time, as if it were a wake-up call, the woman recovered her senses and felt the warmth enveloping her body.

That was what the woman had experienced before she woke up in an unfamiliar, yet familiar room. With eyes wide open, she continued to pinch herself for a few more minutes before she stopped and admitted that she wasn't dreaming. She looked in the mirror before her in horror and then crouched down dumbfounded.

"I did say I didn't want to die... but I didn't say I wanted to get into a little girl's body..."

She was depressed and dispirited; out of all things that could happen, why did she have to transmigrate into a dumb novel she disliked?

The dumb novel set in a fantasy world with nobility hierarchy centred the life of the female lead who was the daughter of the Augendus family, a marquess household. With a soft heart and a sincere, docile personality, the female lead managed to catch all the male love interests without being aware of it.

The cover of the novel had attracted her and so she decided to buy the novel, only to end up disappointed when she finished reading it. At first, she thought it would be lighthearted and have a lot of fluff but on the contrary, it was nothing alike. Instead, the novel was quite dramatic. She wouldn't complain if it wasn't for the badly written characters, world-building and plots. Namely, the novel was a complete mess.

When she searched it on the internet for reviews and information, it was said that the novel was supposed to be lighthearted, simple and fun to read.

What a load of crap.

She didn't know how such a piece of garbage was able to get published. And now, she was somehow living in it. How could she be happy?

Furthermore, she took over the body of the side character named Faenia Lutatia Roscius, a noble lady and the only daughter of the Roscius family, which was also a marquess household. Faenia was a kind-hearted and shy girl, who later on became friends with Lucia Aemilia Linen Augendus—the female lead. As a dear friend of the female lead, it was only natural for her to live successfully and happily, was it not? Unfortunately, Faenia Lutatia Roscius and her family didn't have a happy ending. All of them were executed by the male lead, who had become the Emperor of Viterra Empire.

What was the reason for the execution? Was it because her family was corrupted? Was it because Faenia bullied the female lead? Did someone perhaps frame them? Nothing of the sort. Faenia had genuine feelings towards the female lead, she only wanted to show the secret place she held dearly in her heart, but who knew, the female lead almost died by drowning because she accidentally tripped and fell into the river.

When the male lead got the news, he was furious and declared that someone imprudent like Faenia should not go near the female lead. To vent his anger and for the safety of the female lead, the male lead had the Roscius family executed. However, this didn't have any impact on the novel. Although the female lead was mournful over her friend's death, she quickly got over it and continued to live happily with the male lead. It was indeed a piece of garbage novel.

All she wanted was to read fluff! Was that a sin?

"How am I supposed to live in such a messy world?" The woman, who had become Faenia Lutatia Roscius, gritted her teeth.

In front of the mirror was a small figure of a female child. Her white hair touched her small shoulders and her big purple eyes revealed innocence and freshness. Together with her chubby cheeks and her pyjamas, she looked incredibly cute. She touched one of her cheeks and pinched it.

Seeing her own silly action, she sighed and said, "Fortunately, Faenia is only five years old now..."

She had at least a decade on her until the female lead would meet her and the other male love interests. Luckily, she had received Faenia's memories when she woke up in her body, otherwise, it would be quite troublesome for her. Without these memories, she would have had it hard to recognize people and get easily adapted to the world. Knowing the ending of the Roscius family, she silently cried. She didn't want to die, and certainly not under the male lead's watch. She had to do something about it, to prevent her death.

Since she took over the body, she was now Faenia Lutatia Roscius and that was something she could accept. But, it didn't mean she had to follow Faenia's original life. The people she would be with, what she would eat, who she would hate or love—all those kind of things would be determined by herself. If she had to leave the Roscius family to prevent her death, then so be it. After all, she was an outsider who only wants to survive and return to her own world.

Suddenly hearing the sounds of steps, Faenia quickly ran up to the bed and closed her eyes, pretending to sleep. The door opened, and a couple of maids walked in. Each of them did their individual work. One of them would draw open the curtains, another one would prepare the clothes, and so on.

"It is time for you to wake up, young lady Faenia!"

Pretending to wake up, Faenia rubbed her eyes tiredly and looked dazedly at the person beside her. It was her nanny, Isidora. She was a bit surprised, she didn't think the nanny would be so pretty and young. Her blonde hair was tied up and although she wore similar clothes as the maids in the room, she could still see that Isidora had a higher status than them.

"Good morning, Isidora."

Isidora gave Faenia a bright smile. "Good morning to you too, young lady Faenia."

Faenia sat up quietly and then let the nanny help her do her morning routine. During that time, Faenia was thinking about the novel. To be honest, she didn't remember a lot of what had happened in the novel, for she only read it once. There were things that were blurry and she couldn't remember no matter how much she tried. Fortunately, she still remembered most of the bigger plots and details. She frowned, not liking how she didn't remember all of it. It wasn't good if she missed an important detail and caused something that would lead to her death.

"Why do you wear such a face?" Isidora asked as she gently brushed her white hair. Before Faenia could speak, Isidora continued, "Now, now, we wouldn't want the lord and lady see you like this when you go to the party, do we?"

"Huh?"

Isidora smiled. "Young lady, did you forget? It's His Majesty the Emperor's birthday today!"

'Excuse me...?'
