103 Sensed an Incoming Danger

Zhang Yu Han was in a good mood, especially after Li Qin Yao's friend had personally wished him luck in pursuing her best friend.

Through his short period of knowing Li Qin Yao, Zhang Yu Han had learned that Han Yue Xiu was her closest friend. Of course, since Han Yue Xiu had personally wished him luck, Zhang Yu Han understood that Han Yue Xiu was giving him his approval.

Now that he thought of it, Zhang Yu Han thought that it sounded like a good plan.

To pursue the girl he liked, perhaps it would be better if he has got the favor of the people around her. Since he had obtained Li Qin Yao's friend's approval, perhaps it was best if he started to think of something to get the others as well, such as her employee, or perhaps, her mother.

As he recalled his future mother-in-law, Zhang Yu Han began to shiver.

He had only met her mother by chance, once and judging from the way she was looking at her, Zhang Yu Han had a feeling that she was quite cautious of him. It was as if his mother-in-law could already know his intention towards her daughter.

It was then that he decided that he needed to do something to make his mother-in-law like him.

Zhang Yu Han glanced at the girl who sat beside him and another worrying thought crossed his mind.

If Han Yue Xiu was able to see that he was trying to pursue her friend, then, doesn't that mean his gesture was apparent? Then, would Li Qin Yao notice it too?

Zhang Yu Han was both excited and worry. Of course, he was excited to know that what he had done secretly to enter her life had worked that Li Qin Yao began to notice his presence.

However, once he thought of how she would react towards his feeling for her, Zhang Yu Han was worried. He did not know what was her opinion towards him. What if she ended up rejecting his feelings?

As someone who had never confessed to another person, or had any feelings towards another person other than Li Qin Yao, of course, he was worried. He had liked her for ten years and was not able to forget her after he saw her at the basketball tournament.

He wouldn't know how to handle her rejection.

In the end, Zhang Yu Han decided that it would better for him to tell her his feeling once he was sure that she had liked him a little more.

"Are you alright?"

Zhang Yu Han was worrying too much that he did not notice the cease on the space between his brows. Li Qin Yao has been watching him from the corner of her eyes and noticed his expression.

"I'm sorry. We were supposed to go to the company and work on the paperwork, but I turned you into our chauffeur," Li Qin Yao had an embarrassed look on her face. "Well, if you're tired, you can let me drive."

"It's fine," Zhang Yu Han glanced at her with an assuring smile and he focused on the road. "We are going in the same direction and I don't mind stopping at the airport to help your friend. Besides, it doesn't take that long."

"But the drive back to B City would take a lot longer now." Li Qin Yao let out an inaudible sigh when Zhang Yu Han glanced at her with a smile. She could tell that he really did not mind the long drive and thus, decided not to mention it anymore. Li Qin Yao made a mental note to treat Zhang Yu Han for a meal later.

As Li Qin Yao stole a glance at Zhang Yu Han who seemed so focused on the road, a light smile appeared on her lips. Li Qin Yao was reminded of her train of thoughts last night after Zhang Yu Han sent her to Han Yue Xiu's place. Suddenly, Li Qin Yao pulled her hair down to cover her ears and looked out the window. The thought had made her shy and she did not want Zhang Yu Han to notice her reddened ears.

At this time, her phone suddenly rang.

Li Qin Yao jolted in surprise before she looked at the caller ID. Swiftly, she swiped her fingers on the screen and pressed her phone to her ears. "Liang Sheng?"

Zhang Yu Han glanced at her when she spoke. Worried that there might be some problems arising as she was not present in the office yet, Zhang Yu Han listened to her conversation as he drove. His expression relaxed when he knew that Liang Sheng was only calling to inform her regarding an e-mail.

Once the call disconnected, Li Qin Yao busied herself to check on the e-mails that Liang Sheng had forwarded to her.

After a long silence in the vehicle, Zhang Yu Han turned as he noticed there was no movement on Li Qin Yao's side. His eyes grew warmer when he saw that she was fast asleep. Her breathing was steady, her arms crossed on her chest and her hand was holding her phone tightly. When he saw her posture, Zhang Yu Han quickly turned down the air conditioner and drove slower.

This was the second time that he had seen her fallen asleep. Though he did not mind that she had fallen asleep in his presence, Zhang Yu Han was worried that she was not too cautious with the people around her. As a girl, shouldn't she be more alert? What if he happened to be a bad guy?

The vehicle had entered B City when the phone in Li Qin Yao's hand started to vibrate. Li Qin Yao stirred from her sleep and looked around as she sat up straight. Once she saw the familiar scenery outside the window, she started to relax. It was then that she realized that she had fallen asleep as Zhang Yu Han drove her back to B City.

"We haven't arrived yet?"

"We're almost there." Zhang Yu Han looked at the confused Li Qin Yao and sighed helplessly. "Your phone is buzzing."

"Oh!" Li Qin Yao glanced at her phone. Earlier, she had set her phone to vibrate as she did not want to make too much noise as she continued to chat with Liang Sheng. As Li Qin Yao looked at the screen, her eyes brightened with joy. She accepted the call quickly and pressed her ears to the phone. "Senior Mo?"

Zhang Yu Han straightened up as he sensed an incoming danger. Although he did not know who was the other person on the line, and what he was saying, Zhang Yu Han could still hear that it was a man's voice. Hearing from his tone, this man seemed to be a bright and cheery guy.

Fortunately, their conversation did not last long.

Li Qin Yao hung up her phone and turned to the man beside her. "Zhang Yu Han. Do you remember when I said I wanted to introduce you to one of our investors? That was Vice-president Mo. He said he will come and visit the office in B City two days before we submit the tender."
