50 Familiar Person

After the plane landed, Liang Sheng quickly gathered his bags. As he walked in into the arrival hall, a man sent by his father was already waiting for him. The two of them had a brief chat before they get into the car and headed to the Li's Mansion.

A butler welcomed Liang Sheng's arrival. He was led into the living room to wait as the servant go to notify Chairman Li. Liang Sheng drummed his fingers against the armrest as he glanced at the briefcase in his hand.

Today, he was going to hand over the report to Chairman Li. It has been more than a month since he had gone to B City to meet Li Qin Yao. Liang Sheng had gathered a few people where they were working to prepare a proposal for QL Group's potential project in B City.

As the mediator between Li Qin Yao and Chairman Li, Liang Sheng had to travel back and forth between Capital City and B City. Although it was a bit tiring for him, Liang Sheng found that he enjoyed working alongside Li Qin Yao.

Liang Sheng tilted up his head as he heard the sound of high heels clack against the floor.

"Who are you?"

Liang Sheng did not reply to the question. He gave the woman before him a look over, and quickly figured out who that person was - Chairman Li's granddaughter, Li Mu Chen. He stood up and smiled. "Miss Li. Hello."

Li Mu Chen snorted. "Are you waiting for my grandfather?"

"Yes."

Li Mu Chen frowned, at the way the man in front of him replied to her questions. Her eyes narrowed as she continued to observe the man. Somehow, Li Mu Chen could not stop thinking that she had seen him before. "You seemed familiar. Have we met before?"

Liang Sheng thought about it for a while and answered, "You have probably seen me with my father, Liang Xue Ming. He is Chairman Li's assistant."

The frown in Li Mu Chen's face deepened. She was sure that was not the case.

However, at this time, the butler came back to call Liang Sheng to meet Chairman Li. After nodding politely to Li Mu Chen, Liang Sheng followed after the butler to Chairman Li's office.

Li Mu Chen's gaze followed as the man left. As she gazed at his side profile, something flashed into her mind. Her eyes widened as she fumbled for her phone in her hand. Li Mu Chen went through the contact list and called a number. She waited for a few seconds until the line was connected.

"What is it?"

"Mom," Li Mu Chen heaved with relief as the line was connected. She glanced at the direction where the man had gone before she walked out of the mansion. "Mom, I have some news for you."

Li Qin Yao stood up from her seat and stretched up her body. She has been staring at the computer from the early morning and was starting to get tired. Fortunately, they had finished her report, and now, Liang Sheng had gone to the Capital City to hand it over to her grandfather.

Because of that, Li Qin Yao had given the four staffs a two days break. Once her grandfather had approved of the report, they were supposed to be busy again.

Her phone on the table vibrated as she grabbed the half-full coffee mug on her desk, Li Qin Yao drank her coffee while glancing at the screen. Her eyes widened as she saw the caller. She put down her coffee mug and swiped her fingers on the screen.

"Liang Sheng? How was it?" Li Qin Yao asked as the call was connected.

Liang Sheng chuckled at the other line. "Well, Chairman LI has looked at the report, and he was satisfied with it."

Li Qin Yao let out a breath of relief. "This means that we can move on the next phase, right?"

"Yes, but," Liang Sheng hesitated. "Chairman Li said that there would be a shareholder meeting next week."

"Next week?" Li Qin Yao subconsciously moved her gaze to the calendar on her desk.

"There's news that the government was going to let the bidding start earlier. Therefore, Chairman Li was anxious," Liang Sheng said. "Miss Li, you know how much potential there is in this land. I heard a few other companies were looking to win this land as well. Chairman Li is planning to reveal the project to the others. Since you're the manager of this project, Chairman Li wanted you to be present."

"Me?"

Li Qin Yao massaged her head as she thought of returning to the Capital City to meet the others. She was sure that they would not be pleased to see her again. Imagine what will happen when her grandfather announced that she was the one managing the project?

"I understand," Li Qin Yao spoke after a while. "I will give Chairman Li a call later and discuss this with him."

Li Qin Yao leaned on her chair as the phone call ended. She certainly did not expect that the project would be pushed forward. She understood that there were many eyeing to get the site to cooperate with B City to develop the area. Anyone who wins the tender will be profit a lot in the future. It's just that, Li Qin Yao did not expect that she will have to face the shareholders this soon.

Li Qin Yao took a deep breath to calm down. Then she walked out of her office and headed to the kitchen. It would be better if she put the matter off her mind for a while.

Han Yue Xiu was learning how to pipe the frosting on the cakes with Auntie Yu when Li Qin Yao walked in. She stood at the side and observed them for a while.

"I'm surprised to see you're adapting to this well."

Han Yue Xiu turned around and smiled. "I did not expect that decorating a cake would be this relaxing," she said. Then, she put down the piping bag in her hand and walked towards her friend. "Right. Yao Yao, I'm planning to go back home tomorrow."

"What? Really?"

"Well, I can't leave my house for too long," Han Yue Xiu spoke with a shrug. "I think I've calmed down a lot after my sudden resignation. I need to start looking for a new job soon."

Li Qin Yao nodded. She talked with Han Yue Xiu regarding her next plan before she headed up to the front of the cafe. Seeing that there a customer had just left the table, Li Qin Yao quickly went over to clean up the table.

At this time, the bell that hung at the door rang, signaling that a customer had walked in.

Li Qin Yao lifted her head with a smile on her face as she welcomed the customer. However, her smile froze as she saw the person who walked in. Tang Ai Ling.

Their gaze met, and the two of them stared at each other silently.

"I'm surprised to see you here," Tang Ai Ling said.
