2 Two Kingdoms

(At the Fire kingdom)

"Your majesty, the prince has arrived," the servant informed.

The king ordered, "Let him in."

The prince said, "What's with you, younger brother? Why do you look so gloomy today? Come play with your older brother. Your older brother misses his cuteee little brother."

"Shut up, Carson. What do you want?" the king replied.

"Oh come on! What's with that cold reply? Ever since you became king, you've been avoiding me. Father gave you the throne because he knows that it suits you better than I do, so stop frowning. Anyways, I've got something to tell you. Are you interested?"

Carson, the king's older brother had always been thoughtful towards him, but the king hated it. He hated people that minded his business.

The king rolled his eyes. "Don't mention father. It's unpleasant to talk about the dead. Hurry and speak up because you're wasting my time."

"Cameron, I've brought you some beauties that you might be interested in. There should be an inheritor you know. You can't be single forever," said Carson.

"I'm not interested, so if you have nothing else to say, leave. Your presence makes me agitated."

"Oh well! I guess this isn't the right time to talk to you, so I'll be going back to my room."

When Carson left, Cameron decided to have dinner. When the King sat down and took a bite of the meat, he noticed that it wasn't cooked well. He then told the servant to dispose it. As the servant was about to bring it to the kitchen, a girl came and told the servant that she'll be the one eating it.

The king asked, "Kaycee, why do you want to eat such trash? Just throw it. I'll let them cook another dish."

On the other hand, his younger sister, Kaycee, was the exact opposite of him. She was cheerful and loving. Even though she grew up as the only daughter of their family, she tried to be a good example to her older brothers.

The princess told him, "It doesn't mean you don't like it that you throw it away. Do you know how difficult it is to cook?"

Cameron sighed, "Whatever. Eat it if you want. I'm going upstairs."

When the king went to his room, he went to get his sword that was beside his bed. He then thought about his dead father and promised himself that he'll get revenge once he gets a hold of the blue gem.

A moment later, Kaycee came knocking on the door.

The king responded, "Come in."

"Brother, I need to talk to you about Adam," the princess mentioned.

Adam, Kaycee's fiancé, had always been hated by Cameron. The king didn't trust him for he was a commoner. It's been years since Kaycee introduced Adam to her family, but they just wouldn't accept him.

Cameron rolled his eyes. "If you're thinking about marrying him, forget it."

The princess sighed, "Second brother, Adam might be a commoner, but he loves me and I love him too. I don't want to marry Noah. You should understand that love can't be forced."

"I don't care who you love. You are going to marry Noah whether you like him or not because he suits you better than Adam. Noah has a high position in our kingdom so it's best to marry him. Do not question my decision."

Noah, the general of the Fire kingdom, has always been admired by Cameron. He was a general that their father hired a few years back. He had always wanted him to be his sister's fiancé, but Kaycee did everything she could to be with Adam. She loved him so much to the point that she would be willing to give up everything for him.

Tears then started falling from Kaycee's eyes. Then Carson suddenly went in the room and told him that he was just making an impetuous decision.

"Elder brother, there's no use in you siding with me if Cam isn't giving me prudent replies," the Princess unhappily said.

Then the king asked her if she truly loved him.

Kaycee replied, "Of course I do, and he loves me too."

"What makes you think he loves you the same way you love him?" the king asked.

"Do you remember the day we went hiking and I got lost? Everyone tried finding me, but he was the one who found me. It took him three straight hours to find me. He could've just give up, but he didn't." Kaycee smiled.

Cameron agreed, "Fine. I won't object to any relationship you have with him as long as you are sure that he is the one. Don't come giving me a rueful face once you break up with him."

"Thank you for understanding brother! Don't worry because I'll report everything to you!" the princess hugged him.

"Now that's what you call making the right choice. When you find your true love, you'll be able to really understand how she feels," the prince added.

(At the Water kingdom)

"Any news about my younger sister?" Mia asked.

The maid answered, "It's still the same old news, your highness. They are no where to be found."

Mia, Eleanor's elder sister, was informed that her parents and sister has gone missing. For the past eight months, she had been trying to find them, but there wasn't anything.

"Please update me as soon as you get new information," the princess said.

"Yes, your highness," the maid responded.

After a short chat, Mia went to her room, sat on her a wooden stool, and wondered about where they could've gone.

Until she suddenly heard a knock on the door.

A voice said, "It's me, Sebastian. I need to tell you something."

The princess responded, "Come on in."

Sebastian, Mia's fiancé, would always be the one to comfort Mia when she is down. He was adopted by the king and queen of the Water kingdom twenty years ago. He isn't Mia's real brother, but people still address him as Prince Sebastian.

As Sebastian sat down on the wooden stool, he asked Mia if she was alright. He knew that she has been worrying about her sister and parents lately, but worrying wasn't good for her health. She didn't have to keep the sadness to herself because he was always there for her. Mia then looked at him and thanked him because he was actually concerned about her.

"Aren't i your fiancé? I'm still here. You can tell me anything. I don't want you to worry to much. We'll find a way to find them. I promise. We just have to be patient. I'm sure they're alive."

Mia hugged him. "Thank you Sebastian, for always being there for me. I'm happy that I was able to meet you. Don't worry about me anymore. I'll try to be optimistic."
