4 Our Stay

When Eleanor and Olivia arrived at the place, Licia thanked them because she and her family has knew something to eat. She then decided to give them a magical lamp that would help them find their way. The brighter the lamp is, the closer they are to their destination.

"Licia, who are you? Why do you have such a lamp if you don't even have enough money to feed your family?" Eleanor asked.

Licia explained, "I'm actually Joseph's friend. I lied to you about everything except my name. I stole your food because Joseph told me to. He wanted you guys to experience these kinds of situations so that when you get to the Fire kingdom, you'll be prepared. In addition, Joseph wanted me to tell you that after this stop, you'll be able to arrive at the Fire kingdom."

After a short chat with Licia, Eleanor and Olivia went to have dinner inside the small house.

Olivia stated, "Eleanor, you should be careful of your identity. Try acting more like a commoner. No one can know that you are the princess of Water kingdom."

"Why not?" the princess asked.

"Once they've figure out your identity, they'll kill you. News is spreading that you're dead, and not much people know what you look like which is a good thing, so please so be attentive to your surroundings."

The next day...

(At the Fire kingdom)

The king ordered, "Bring him in."

"Yes, Your majesty," the servant obeyed.

When the royal soldiers brought the man in, Cameron asked the man what he was doing in his room yesterday. The man told him that he just came to clean the room because he saw that it was dirty.

"Who cleans a room with the lights off? Tell me the reason or I'll kill you and your wife."

"Your majesty, Please have mercy! I'll tell you. Just don't kill my wife."

"I can't assure that I won't kill your wife. It depends on my mood."

"Your majesty, I went to your room because someone ordered me to look for the red gem. She threatened me by killing my wife. I hope I can have your forgiveness."

"Who ordered you to get the red gem?"

"It's the second princess of the Water kingdom, your majesty."

"What is her name?" Cameron asked.

The man told him that her name is Eleanor, but she is rumored to be dead. A few days ago, he saw a soul of a girl following him to his room. At that time, he didn't know that it was the princess. He thought that it was just his imagination. Until she spoke to him. She told him to get the red gem so that she'd be able to revive her parents who are also rumored to be dead.

"Hmm... Eleanor. I feel like I've heard of this name before."

"Your majesty, now that I've told the truth, please spare me!"

The king ordered, "Kill him."

"Yes, your majesty," the royal soldiers obeyed.

"Your majesty! I've told the truth! You can't do this to me!" the man shouted.

Cameron then remained silent as the royal soldiers dragged the man out of the throne room.

A moment later, Kaycee came and asked, "Second brother, aren't you being too brutal?"

Cameron replied, "He's just wasting my time. It's better to have him killed rather than me worrying what his intentions are in the future."

After talking to the princess, The king went upstairs and saw Carson standing in front of his room. When Carson saw him, he said, "Let's talk in you room."

When they got in, Carson sat on the chair and asked his brother if he believed that their father was dead. The king told him that he believes that he's gone, but there was just this feeling that he's alive. That he could feel his presence.

"I felt that too! I thought it was only me, but there's just this feeling that he's hiding somewhere."

"Is Kaycee aware about this?"

"She does. I've talked to her about this and she experienced the same. We shouldn't mention this to servants and soldiers because it's too risky. We don't know who's on our side."

"Yes, You're right. Anyway, have you heard of what I did to one of our servants?"

"Yes, and I don't think what you did was wrong. It was right to kill him because we don't know what he can do. Did you actually believe what he said?"

"It's hard to tell if he's really telling the truth. I'm just really curious. How could the princess of Water kingdom talk to him if she's rumored to be dead?" the king responded.

"Cam, its rumored. They haven't found any bodies yet. Who knows? She might actually be alive. Not much people know what she actually looks like," the prince explained.

"You're not wrong, but why would her soul follow him just like that? Why would she want the red gem?"

"There are too many mysterious things happening. We really should investigate meticulously."

After a long talk, they went to the dining hall to have supper with the princess.

"Older brother, you seem quite tired today," the princess said.

"I'm not tired. I'm just worried about something," Carson responded.

"Is it about father?" Kaycee asked.

"Yes. Speaking of father, I've told Cam that you've experienced the feeling too," the prince mentioned.

Cameron emphasized, "That's right. Remember to be cautious. Try to stay in a place near us just in case some unexpected things happen."

Kaycee responded, "Yes brother. The man a while ago is really weird. I don't believe that the princess of the Water kingdom is actually dead."

"We'll soon figure this out, I don't want you two to worry, so please leave this to me," the king said.
