Tulip City's Police Station

...

"Lily why do you want to resign? Is it because I mistreated you? If it is then I could increase your salary if you want to." Scarlet asked, she felt regretful now that Lily has submitted her resignation letter since lily has always been a reliable assistant.

"It's not like that Captain Scarlet." Lily replied.

"Then why?" Scarlet asks while raising her right eyebrow. But seeing that Lily remain silent she dared not asked further. She knew Lily might have some personal reasons that she can't tell to an outsider like her, so she just approved her resignation.

"Thank you boss." Lily said earnestly. Captain Scarlet has never invaded her privacy even once, so she felt grateful about it. After lily achieved her purpose of going to the police station, she immediately headed out to her next destination, the hospital.

As she arrived at the hospital, she ran as fast as she could to a certain room. But when she arrived at that room she just stared at the door afraid that maybe she was just dreaming. She anticipated this day to come fo a long time, the day when her grandfather would wake up from being in a coma.

When she was 18 their house has been devoured by the fire, but she was really happy that her grandfather was still alive. Even though he was still in a coma and many doctors even said that he might not be able to wake up because of his weak body, she still believed that someday he would wake up. She did not give up hope.

Three years later after the fire incident, she received a text from Marga Beenz that her grandpa just woke up.

Marga was her grandpa's most trusted aide, she was also her grandpa's childhood friend and has been the one who had been managing business when her grandfather was still in a coma. There were even rumors that Marga fell in love with her grandpa but it was only a one sided love. She found it ridiculous but soon believed it to be true, since the way Marga looked at her grandpa asleep in the hospital bed made the whole thing obvious.

She snapped out from her thoughts and came back to reality. She grabbed the doorknob in front of her, then carefully opened the door. When she saw her grandpa inside the room up and awake, she ran out to him and hugged tightly while crying afraid that he would disappear any minute. Seeing that Lily already came in, Marga left the room allowing both of them to catch up.

Her grandfather Rosco patted her hair and said. "There there, you should stop crying you're not a baby anymore."

"Grandpa!" She said while glaring at him. Then her grandfather laughed.

Rosco felt that he missed too much on her granddaughter's life so he just allowed her to talk nonstop. And because they already treated Marga as their family they allowed her to be back inside. The scene in the room looked very harmonious.

Rosco's personal doctor came in a few momemts later. Even though her grandpa waking up was something worth celebrating, the expression the doctor was wearing did not look too optimistic.
